Grafter
Without a sieve how can u get rid of ALL the starchy water without losing rice to the sink?
Fresh
In a sieve you see less starch because the water drains immediately so you probably aren't getting rid of ALL the starch anyway. You could even be getting rid of less. Neither way is inadequate we aint trying to sterilize it, shit.

seven
If you want the 'quality' to be the same you put more oil u d*ckhead The whole idea of the f*cking machine is to use as little oil as possible. Why am I waiting 10-15 minutes for oven style chips when I can get them much better from my fryer in 3 minutes? One of the most pointless machines ever. sh*t takes forever as well. Fried some chicken the other day, book was telling me 25 minutes. What's the f*cking point? less smells and healthier chicken takes about 15 just made some nice susages in dere 10 minutes

I dunno about boiling it til all the water has evaporated though, normally I just boil it for 5-8 mins then drain and wash.
