Are you crazy its a great move for him not only has he doubled his wages, trebled his England hopes and increased his chances of winning silverware 500 times, he can cement himself a place in the squad after Makalele retires and Ballack leaves. Diarra, Obi and Essien are the future of chelsea, Sidewell can establish himself as firm back up or even if he don't get played enoughh he can still get a move to a top half premiership team.

We shoulda brought him back, just shows Wenger dont like english players.
LMAO @ Sidwell being better than either Fabregas, Gilberto, Denilson or Diaby biggrin.gif I would MUCH rather have any of them than Sidwell.

Chelsea are stronger than us in central midfield, they got Ballack, Makelele, Lampard, Essien, Mikel and still bought himFor a free transfer I reckon its worth it

In the Carling Cup final our midfield of Walcott, Fabregas, Denilson and Diaby (3 central midfielders by trade) were having up Chelsea's midfield of Makelele, Lampard, Ballack and Essien (4 central midfielders by trade).
