If Zlatan is available on a free and could come in as backup (he would never go for that but..), he could do a pretty decent job for a season or two. Would be worth a punt.

At the age of 34 he is definitely not an all round better player than Rooney, especially considering he's never played in the PL. To rely on a 34 year old Zlatan to score us enough goals in all competitions to be competitive is a little desperate.
