For the last fucking time, a decade is ten years...

The last completed decade is 2000-2010 and imo its Kanye West, with like I said a notable mention to Lil Wayne.

The current decade is 2005-2015 and again imo its Kanye West, with a few notable mentions.

Kanye West isn't dead people. He still shook this year up with a single no album.

Lil Wayne.

WTF.

You could argue a case for Ross.

Wayne was hottest rapper in '06 for at least two years. Acting like his run didn't allow QM in.

you do realise what a decade is

the decade started from 2010

it is drakes decade

if he is disqualified than a case definitely be made for rawse up until 2013/2014

since then it is kanye/ kendrick

You do realise a decade is a ten year period ffs. Lord.

The original question was who is the hottest rapper of the decade so far.

The decade has started from 2010.

What don't you understand.

The last decade was 2000 to 2010 the current decade is 2010 to 2020

So far it would definitely be drake but for his disqualification.

Lol at how many people are not talking 2005-2015... An actual decade. Wtf?

Thought this forum was more intelligent than that.

U do not measure decades from the year you are in and go back 10 years.

Decades go in 10s 1980s 1990s 2000s 2010

I'm struggling to understand why some of you cannot grasp this simple fact

Decade

A decade is a period of 10 years. The word is derived (via French and Latin) from the Ancient Greek dekas which means ten. Other words for spans of years also come from Latin: biennium, triennium, quadrennium, quinquennium (5 years), lustrum (5 years), century (100 years), millennium (1000 years).

Distinctions

Although any period of 10 years is a decade, A convenient and frequently referenced interval is based on the tens digit of a calendar year, as in using "1960s" to represent the decade from 1960 to 1969. Often, for brevity, only the tens part is mentioned (60s or sixties), although this may leave it uncertain which century is meant. These references are frequently used to encapsulate popular culture or other widespread phenomena that dominated such a decade, as in The Great Depression of the 1930s.

Because the common calendar starts with year 1, its first full decade is the years 1 to 10, the second decade from 11 to 20, and so on.So although the "1960s" comprises the years 1960 to 1969, the "197th decade" spans 1961 to 1970.

A decade may also refer to an arbitrary span of 10 years. For example, the statement "during his last decade, Mozart explored chromatic harmony to a degree rare at the time", merely refers to the last 10 years of Mozart's life without regard to which calendar years are encompassed.

For decades of the 20th century, the term 'decade' often conjures not just a set of ten years but a distinct era roughly approximating those ten years - for example, the sixties often refer to events that took place between c. 1964 and 1972 and conjure memories of the counterculture, flower power, protests of 1968 and other things going on at the time.

Okay...

Wow seriously... Your boys must literally hate debating anything with you.

Lets ignore the first sentence of text and lets also ignore everything that goes against your argument and - yeah, fuck, you schooled me with all that enlarged text.
