Sounds to me like: - your manager didnt think it was rude initially - the one who got aggy (because shes lazy/on her reds/whatever) then went up to your manager and said something along the lines of 'that email from grace was rude, she should speak nicer to people above her. You need to have a word with her'. That kinda thing. - your manager probs in a throwaway manner, or because theyre friends, then partially agreed which resulted in her saying to you it was rude - your manager didnt initially think that so has nothing to back up that complaint when you ask her Basically....its a minor in the grand scheme of things. Your managers a bit weak and gets told what to do even when they dont agree. Id just be saying 'sorry, didnt mean for it come off rude i just wanted to people to realise the importance' and that would be the end of it. I see this sort of thing happen with my managers manager all the time. Its quite jokes watching him try reprimand someone for something he doesnt give a fuck about.

I think the majority of supposedly anti gay people don't even hate gays. They are just naturally uncomfortable with the idea of two males in a relationship coz it subverts a lot of 'natural' ideas we have or ideas we are raised with. The lgbt community overcompensates and twists this into 'hate' so there's no space to discuss anything slightly negative or anti

I stopped caring about or pro actively hating gays when I stopped believing in god, what it comes down to more time is religious dogma but people find all manner of pseudo science to justify their hatred of gays to skirt around the fact they believe in a fictional overlord judging their opinions from the sky. As I'm sure you've realised yourself, there is a fair amount of ignorance on this forum, which is to be expected in a non-intellectually driven quarter of communication (youtube comments for example). This ignorance tends to manifest itself at its most obvious in topics such as this one (on this forum, other sites it might be something else like race; daily mail comments for example). Ignorance like this irks me that's all, all we have is conversation to improve ourselves, and I definitely wouldn't be defending homos if there was clear evidence pointing to them being subpar parents, but there isn't, just a cluster of uniformed opinion driven by biased intuition. Also I'm certainly not exempt from displaying this type of ignorance myself. However, I try to recognise and acknowledge it as best I can.

you can't just label it 'black community'. Majority of the violent and drug crime is commited by Somalis, Jamaicans, Nigerians and Ghanaians. Granted those are also the biggest represented black ethnicities/nationalities in the UK, it doesn't make up for the scale. IMO its related to aspects of all those individual cultures, mixed in with the diaspora influences such as African American culture, as well as poverty etc all contribute. Its not a straight forward thing IMO

Amber Hickling, 22, was looking for pictures of their baby girl when she found the POV-style video of Bryson having sex with the bemused animal from behind. Bryson, of Louth, Lincs., was given a four-month prison sentence suspended for two years after he admitted engaging in an act of sexual penetration with an animal at Skegness Magistrates Court in March 2014. He was also ordered to sign the Sex Offenders' Register for seven years and told he must never be alone with an animal again. But on Tuesday the pervert was jailed for 22 weeks after he admitted breaching the terms of his suspended sentence. He admitted failing to notify police of an address he had stayed in where a child under 18 was present on four occasions between January 29 and February 10 this year. Magistrates heard he also failed to disclose details of a new debit card within three days of receiving it under the terms of the Sexual Offender's Register. He was also told to pay a £115 victim surcharge at Boston Magistrates Court.
