This is a funny thread boy.I was born and bred here and I actually think Tanner is right with his comments but the amount of politics and bullshit that goes on with the National side is enough to put people off, my self included.at the same time Anyone slewing someone for supporting countries of their heritage is a fool, especially if you grow up within that culture, Now you can't raise you children with pride in their own heritage and history??. I was watching BBC News during 2002 and their were English families in Spain saying they can't wait for the game to kick off against Brazil blah blah with all their flags. They even spoke to the kids the amazing thing is there was about 12 kids in they spoke to about 5 all had ENGLISH Accents NONE were born in England or raised. Talk about cutting yourself of from Spanish society. Now many ethnic minorities born here do know that speak with a Conditioned Caribbean, Greek, African, Indian accent?

The thing is, I'm of mixed heritage as well, but there's nothing to say you can't support both your country of nationality and your country of heritage.I'm West Indian and I support England but I also supported Jamaica and Trinidad in the '98 and '06 world cups respectively and I support the West Indian cricket team. There's nothing wrong with embracing both cultures. i'm just think it's stupid to be a born and bred in this country and hate it.
