They change the nature of characters all the time...there is plenty of time for Gus to turn into your favourite stereotyped wasteman road guyhell, at least they didn't waste time with the chinese bitch awhile back. They had her shotting DVDs within 2 minutes of being on screen.

^ that is probably what people who live in county durham( the whitest place in the uk,its been proven) expected him to do when he first came in the show, before his vunrable soft side got brought out and before he entered the world of market sweeping, they probably expected him to be a gangster who went round shooting people.

yeah i know, just saying anthony weren't that much of a clown (bounty yes). Paul was a decent character shame they killed him.
