I bought my mac on student discount over the phone (I didnt even want to do it over the phone but had a delivery question). Told the guy I was getting ready to do a masters at Goldsmiths.

i know u can encrypt files, but can that work for dropbox and would it stop previews in the finder?

as long as you're not looking in the folder with the photos then you shouldn't see previews

Change the view setting for your folders, so its a list of files rather than thumbnails.

Thought I had a backup of the the DMG on my portable hard drive but I flopped

I've never been able to download from there as it said my ratio was too low. Since i've pretty much got a new machine with an empty hard drive, I'm not sure what I can do to up my ratio

 

Could I possibly sign up with a new ID and start from scratch?

I want to "learn" how to use Photoshop.

 

Got practically latest Mac half a TB hard drive and nothing on here except Serato and FM2015.

 

Which link is best to download?

* Close your internet connection.

* Install application by selecting "TRY"

* Select "Connect Later"

* Once installed, launch and quit each application at least one time, blocking any outgoing connections is necessary.

* Replace amtlib.framework in Application_Name.app/Contents/Frameworks/  

  IMPORTANT : Keep a copy of the original file, you may need it later.

* Use firewall to stop internet connection of the application.

 

 

 

PS. In order to get Photoshop Extended version, you need to launch the Photoshop application at least once before proceeding with replacing the amtlib.framework. If you've already replaced the framework, there's no need to reinstal the lot, simply reinstate the original framework (because you did keep a backup copy, Aren't you?), launch Photoshop. Quit and replace the framework with cracked one.

Show Package Contents

Navigate to Contents -> Frameworks

You should find the amtlib.framework in there

Not sure what it wants you to replace it with though. Drag it to your desktop in case you need to put it back

if its says "replace" that means they'll give you a cracked version to replace with

check the download

There is a cracked version of the file that comes with the download.......Put that in the frameworks folder instead, then you're good to go
