Asprilla claims the relationship between Van Gaal and Falcao is "broken" and insisted that his countryman will not stay at Old Trafford next season if the manager remains in the hot-seat.

Asprilla, who played for Newcastle United in the 1990s, says matters have already come to a head.

"If Van Gaal continues he will leave," Asprilla told IB Times UK. "I think it is a relationship that has already been broken. Falcao understands that the coach does not want him.

"I remember when I went to Newcastle, Kevin Keegan wanted me. He supported me a lot and here it is obvious that Van Gaal does not trust Falcao.

"It is sad to see how he is treating Falcao. The problem is not Falcao, but the coach. Falcao had an injury earlier in the season, but after he proved that he is still the same top scorer he used to be.

"He played five games and scored goals. But this is all about giving him confidence. After playing well some games it is inexplicable that he suddenly stops playing.

"The truth is that I do not know what Van Gaal is trying to do at United. And I think both players and fans are also confused. He does many changes without reasons."

"Riquelme, Rivaldo and now Falcao, definitely #VanMaal you are bad with South Americans. @ManUtd need to act #FalcaoaTigerinaCage."

Falcao hasn't earned it

Hasn't the chances to finish tbh

Can see both sides

Our chances created have been poor, the long ball stats peak for themselves

But fitness wise, plus age, wages and fee

No thank you Mr Mendes

On the flip, how do you feel about being left with RVP & WIlson?

I think once Di Maria, Carrick, Fellaini, Herrera, Mata, Blind prove they can stay fit and we sign Strootman or 1/2 CMs in the summer Rooney can return to his best position as a 9

Id feel ok with 3 9s if we were playing 433 which we hopefully move onto once we improve our defence and midfield and sign wingers who can create chances, dribble, score, take people on, cross a football etc

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has told striker Radamel Falcao that he must prove himself to warrant a place in the Dutchman's staring line-up.

Falcao has scored just three Premier League goals since his loan arrival from Monaco this season and was left out of Van Gaal's matchday squad for last Sunday's defeat to Southampton. His agent, Jorge Mendes, has also admitted his client's future at Old Trafford remains uncertain.

"If a player costs £95million or £5,000, it doesn't make any difference. You have to prove yourself," Van Gaal said on Friday.

Van Gaal's comments come after fellow summer signing Daley Blind warned United's fringe players they must train harder to break into the first team.

lmao heard one dutch guy on the radio yesterday basically saying the same thing.

Allow bending over backwards to accommodate players. SAF would do the same thing.

TBH , if he doesn't pick up in this 2nd half of season he can go , unfortunate timing for both club & player to cross paths but it has to happen. I'd much rather release Falcao & sell RVP and break the bank for Muller & keep Rooney #9 and Wilson.

.

Watch how he leaves for Madrid/Juve & performs a fuckery.
