I didn't complete 9 but I believe they are set in different universes, so it's not a really a case of which is set before which. 9 does have a medieval type setting though, while 7 is dystopian/ near futuristic.

I didn't know that! My brother borrowed my copy of 9 and lost it so I think I only made it to disc 2

There wasnt any real hype around 7 ehn it dropped but 8 sold basically on the back of the success of 7.I enjoyed 8 but it was too grey for me and that tail in 9 made me wanna slap somebody

I think people were put off with the sappy love story and completely unlikable main character in 8, and the junctioning system. The system was good if you understood it.All the characters were good apart from Squall. Selphie and Qusitis were my favourites.

I need to get all them ultimate weapons. Been trying to get Tidus' for ages. That f*ck*ng chocobo race drives me crazy. I end up swearing my heart out and turning off the machine out of frustration.ANd I heard about Pendance. Read one thing where it was saying his health is something like 7,000,000 HP. And that's just the head. The arms are something like 3, 000, 000 HP. And to think I was having enough problems beating Jecht (which I am still to do).

Penance... very cunting boss that one. Took me about 15 tries & a total of about 30 hrs to beat.

You see when you face Bahamut for the 1st time, when you beat him, you go this area behind him and get an item for his ultimate weapon.Now if you didn't do that, you can't go back and get it if I remember correctly...
