Any fundamentals to know before I book this?

I went this year with my girl, we didn't know it was memorial weekend however we got there on the firday and it was over by monday. IT IS FACKING MADNESS!! Yes its kinda ghetto, mandem and chicks everywhere baree crazy cars alsots of mad shit, vibes are good tho.

If your going wid your boys book it, if not llow it till after when its died down cus by the monday it was all cool and peacful again, all the white people come back out.

So what do I make of Brussels? It's a small city thats for sure, we were staying at Sofitel Louise (5 star hotel), having read Trip Advisor before hand people were commenting on it being within 5 minutes distance, this would be true if you were using a taxi or the Metro. We decided to walk which was 20 minutes, it didn't bother us since we got to see Brussels during the day with its clear blue skies and a bit of warmth. Locals did help us with directions, very grateful to them.

Couldn't check in until after 2, so we had around 3 hours to kill. Left our bags in the hotel at reception and went walk a bouts, exploring Brussels. Metro is the easiest and most convenient way to get around the city, fuck taking a taxi! Went to a few of the churches to take pictures, around the sights and without realising we'd walking from the south east of the city to the north!

Beer is great! Makes me upset that now we are back the beer in some bars or pubs are just not going to be the same. Ate lots of sea-food, from mussels, smoked salmon, oysters, lobster, then you can add in the waffles which were light, fluffy and to die for, going to Belgium and having waffles is a must do! Some nice pubs to go chill in have a few drinks, good restaurants and some nice places to visit, this is a place only for a few days not 7+ I'd be wondering what we'd have done if it was 7 days, guess hopping on the Eurostar going to Amsterdam would have happened or even 30 mins to Lille. A fair amount of shops are closed on a Sunday but in the tourist areas you will find loads of places open, quite a few kebab shops and this restaurant which did "All You Can Eat Ribs for 15 euros 95 cents" shame we got told no tables until 10pm.

The Manneken Pis meant to be this big attraction but nah its a tiny statue in the middle of no where, this time he had a coat on.

Going barbados shortly for the first time - can anyone advise what's there to do especially in regards to black history im into all that stuff. Any other ideas welcome

I went Barbados in August. SIck sick place.

For black history there is the National museum which is on the way to bridgetown if you are staying in the South parishes like Christchurch or so. I had to make a brief round trip on that tour since I had to meet family but it was really good in there.

Outside of that, beaches are peng, weather is stupidly hot, water is a beautiful blue and it's just really nice. St Lawrence Gap is a must if you are around Christchurch as that is where bars and clubs are. Stuff can be expensive as they import virtually everything, but stuff like ZR buses are cheap (2 Bajan dollars which is a little more than 60p or so). They are mini buses that will take you around. Food is live. although expensive. If you get a chance to, go to a place called Just Grillin'. Also, you have to go to the fish fry at Oistins on a Friday. Bare people and nuff food. It's like a section in carnival with music, nuff people drinking rum and eating fish that was freshly caught in the morning. ALso, if you are able to, might be an idea to do an island tour but that's up to you.

JLovely will be able to drop more knowledge than me since she frequents there regularly, but I had a blast and would definitely go back there.

I am not even connected to the person who is doing it in anyway whatsoever (just added my % on top already) , found the guy and had the same sceptics as everyone. Tried him out as I moved to Milan for few months and needed a hotel for first two weeks, paid him at 3am and got the hotel voucher in my inbox in the morning. Tried to work out how it does as it states payment was made at booking office but couldn't figure it out.

Those who are in the deets game knows swiping can be hit and miss, cancellations before or even while your in the room. This guy done the booking 10 days before my stay and I had no problems at all, not a single question and he is supposed to be the best in this department and offers 100% Guarantee no problems.

Staying again through him in Venice next week.

Fair enough but it's an honest explanation. Just letting people know it's not swiped. Of course if something is being offered at half it's retail something dodgy is going on but I would rather pay him than buy a deet for $5, do it myself and have all the risks on my head.

Yeah pretty much anywhere, he doesn't do flights to Africa but does hotels. I am planning to stay in Naples at the end of November or early December. Should be an interesting experience.
