What's this bullshit I'm reading on webnwalk that they're using the standings from lap 31 instead of the penultimate lap? Hamilton will be pissed.

Yeah pushes him to 7th, when they interviewed him he was obviously holding back alot of frustration.. trying to force a smile and that.I am still down with Lewis though he just needs a win to get back in the flow, feeling to place 1K on him to win the championship, brings back around 9k.

Button is doing alot this year.Making Honda look like they just produced shopping trolleys with engines.
He's proving his stories to be right bout the car not performing back then. This year it looks like Mr Brawn is unleashing some of that winning experience.I suppose being the owner instead of just team principal or tech director does a lot to a man's pride.

Dont think Mclaren will get kicked out.Even though Hamilton lied, the FIA are Ferraris bitches and seem to target Mclaren.Whitmarsh thought he could cool it by sacking Ryan, but that didn't work.Same things gonna happen with the diffuser situation, the regualtions, just aren't clear:

40.7Overtaking will be permitted under the following circumstances :- if a car is signalled to do so from the safety car ;- under 40.15 below ;- any car entering the pits may pass another car or the safety car remaining on the track after it hascrossed the first safety car line ;- any car leaving the pits may be overtaken by another car on the track before it crosses the secondsafety car line ;- when the safety car is returning to the pits it may be overtaken by cars on the track once it hascrossed the first safety car line ;- any car stopping in its designated garage area whilst the safety car is using the pit lane (see 40.10below) may be overtaken ;- if any car slows with an obvious problem.

F1 appeal rules in Brawn's favour Motorsport's governing body, the FIA, has ruled the Brawn GP car, which has taken Briton Jenson Button to two wins this season, is legal. A panel heard eight hours of strongly worded evidence on Tuesday after complaints that Brawn, Toyota and Williams, use an illegal diffuser. And the five International Court of Appeal judges said the designs "comply with the applicable regulations". All three teams are free to race in the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai. "The decision comes as no great surprise," said BBC Radio 5 Live Formula One commentator David Croft. "Already this season two sets of stewards, an FIA president and an FIA race director have thought that the diffuser design of Brawn, Williams and Toyota was OK. "It's a sensible decision for Formula One. The FIA's court of appeal were highly unlikely, on technical grounds, to go against the decision of the stewards. Seven teams are now playing catch up and have to do something about it very, very quickly." Brawn GP currently lead the constructors' world championship with 25 points, with Toyota in second place on 16 points. A Toyota statement issued immediately after the ruling said: "Our team studied the wording of the new 2009 regulations in precise detail to ensure we interpreted them correctly. "We also made full use of the consultation procedure with the FIA which was a helpful process to ensure our interpretation of the technical regulations was correct."Therefore we had every confidence that the design of our car would be confirmed as legal, firstly by race stewards in Australia and Malaysia and subsequently by the Court of Appeal." The judges in Paris heard evidence from both sides, with Ferrari's legal representative, Nigel Tozzi QC, describing Brawn GP team boss Ross Brawn as "a person of supreme arrogance". Brawn defended himself robustly and insisted his team's diffuser was simply "an innovative approach of an existing idea". And Brawn's criticism of Ferrari consultant Rory Bryne and Red Bull technical guru Adrian Newey saw sparks fly in the courtroom, with the Englishman refusing to retract his statements. FIA technical director Charlie Whiting was also grilled, with accusations his organisation are "getting it wrong, and not understanding the point". The row broke out when Ferrari, Renault and Red Bull protested against the legality of the split-level diffusers on the eve of the season-opening grand prix in Australia, but race stewards in Melbourne rejected their claims. BMW Sauber then had a similar protest rejected at the Malaysian Grand Prix while McLaren have recently added their weight to the official protest. Speaking from outside FIA headquarters in Paris on Tuesday, BBC sports news reporter Joe Wilson said: "Rear diffusers this season were supposed to get smaller, but Brawn and a couple of other teams have ended up with bigger ones, exploiting a little loophole in the laws." The protesting teams said the split-level design contravenes a rule that states the diffuser - an aerodynamic body part which aids performance - must have an upper edge that runs in a horizontal straight line. 606: DEBATE Teams like Ferrari, MM and Renault will all get new diffusers at some point - the question is when? ColchesterPaul They also believed the design is negating the main aim of this season's new rule changes, which is to make overtaking easier. The split-level diffusers generate more downforce at the rear of the car, resulting in a clear performance advantage of around 0.5 seconds per lap. With the FIA's ruling, the seven teams who are running without the split-level diffusers are expected to try to incorporate the design into their cars as soon as possible. But setting about such a radical redesign with the season under way will not be easy. Many of the teams running with regular diffusers argue the cost of making the changes is too great, especially during a climate of cost-cutting within the sport in the face of the global economic crisis. "I've heard several of them complaining about the cost," said Brawn before the verdict. "But there are lots of things teams copy from each other and the cost doesn't get debated. "I think some teams will be able to do it very quickly, but for other teams it will be more difficult because of their suspension configuration or other elements of the car." =======================================================================Still dont think this is over yet, but will mean they concentrate more on the feckin' racing.

McLaren's Dennis quits Formula 1Ron Dennis has handed over complete control of McLaren Racing to team principal Martin Whitmarsh, ending his 43-year involvement in Formula 1.The 61-year-old stepped down as world champion Lewis Hamilton's team boss on 16 January, but stayed involved in F1.However, Dennis will now concentrate solely on McLaren's Automotive company."I am the architect of this restructure of McLaren. I have no qualms about leaving Martin to look after all matters connected to F1," said Dennis."I feel enormously enthused about the prospects for both the McLaren Group and for McLaren Automotive."As executive chairman of McLaren Automotive, Dennis will lead the group's project to develop a range of pure McLaren sports cars, with the launch date for the first model set for 2011.http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport...one/8001425.stm

nah i think lewis should stay. no other team is right for him apart from mclaren anyway. schumacher didnt win 7times consecutively so im not fussed about this button hype. he may win this season and next yr all the others will bring their own cars out to compete properly..at least we know mclaren, ferrari and bmw will. so f*ck this hype about this button hype, and im sure if it was mclaren in buttons shoes right now everyone will be hating saying lewis is always 'helped' to cheat.
