i didn't work my arms in isolation at all for a few years until my back started to look too big in relation, probably what repsol honda is getting now, so i concentrate on doing some bicep work in addition to the work they get when i do my back, as for triceps, mine get enough of a workout on chest and shoulders days so i rarely do them in isolaiton

Theres no real point doing too much arm work in isolation if you aint strong on other lifts. For example if you cant squat, bench or deadlift heavy weights lets just say for arguments sake 100kg. Then you aren't going to be able to curl and/or dip with heavy enough weights to actually give you big arms.If you are good in some departments though i'd say weighted dips are the best arm exercise or some form of curls after your main lifts on back days
im gonna try the weighted dips thing, safebut i think the rest is bad advice for some, as bmc said some parts u can find grow faster. maybe my post was too vagueim saying my arms are lagging behind the rest. so if i bench more surely thats just going to compound the problem. don't really get how squatting 100kg is goin to help either can u expand on this?

i mean working sets as in a 6/8/10 not just a 1rm. Apparently you only reach "intermediate" levels of strength when you can squat your 1.5x times your body weight for reps. I aint there yet! Im on about 1.25. Just make sure your form is good, most people only do quarter and half squats. If your depth aint like this guy you're only lying to yourselfhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eZ1HzoH0Rw

a box is meant to be set at at least parallel. So you should at least be doing a proper squat off one. ive not watched them other vids yet though will do later

if you can squat 1.5 ur body weight for reps your 1rm should, in theory, be around double ur bw. but most guys wont be able to pull off their theoretical max because they wont have the technique or be able to enter the mind state necessary to perform a single rep with a maximal load, especially if singles or triples arent part of their regular training.i dont see any conflict between the video m12 posted and the ones i posted, they set the box up at parallel.i recommend everyone watches the 'so u think u can squat' videos, multiple times. that matt wenning knows a thing or two about squatting, guy has squat close to half a ton in competition, and the guy he's coaching has very common issues with his form - lack of upper back tension, quad dominance etc.

is flat benching important?? i never do it i just use dumbells
mix it up. dumbells give you a better range of motion and they work independently so one side of ur chest isn't supporting the other but u can go heavier with the barbell, at the mo i'm starting with decline bench and then doing incline dumbells, soon i'll switch it up again once i can do 100k 4 or 5 times

true, i do bench quats too sitting in the bench, at a parallel angle.the thing is some people only seem to look at ONE way of doing things, its all about variety. doing box squats, parallel and going lower than parallel all work the legs in different degrees of intensity.i also do jump squats.if you want to add more intensity and depth to your quad devt. but i cringe when i see big guys go very heavy on squats and do it so badly.
