We played well, lacked ideas in the final third.Impressed by Anderson he kept Ballack and Essien out the game. Flectcher played well but must be the most unluckiest footballer about, Arsenal last season, CSKA Wednesday and Chelsea yesterday. Anelka was Chelsea's best player by far.Brown and Evans overall put in a solid performance. Giggs was by far the worst player on the pitch.Drogba (who should never have been booked, but LOL at that decision) fouled Brown and ref's position was poor but he wasn't offside. Ref's have been very poor this season, maybe Fergie should have kept quite about Wiley to cover his team selection.Overall, neither team deserved to win to be honest, should have ended a draw.

Man united were never gonna win....we all knew that.I really wanted a draw but united couldn't even do that! As usual Fergie comes to a top four team ground and plays like bolton (about having 5 in midfield tryna stop chelsea play). That is a game Ronaldo would have scored in and got you a point but with no ROnaldo you lot aint winning nothing! Chelsea are looking strong i cant even lie! Its a London thing this year!

TBH the trend this year is home teams are shading the big four games (I noticed this WELLL before the Sky pundits mentioned it, not catting them).Man Utd and 'Pool have both been to the Bridge and both lost. Arsenal been to OT and lost, they still got to go to Chelsea, who then have got to go on away. If it continues Chelsea can still drop 6 points at least, at OT and the KOP and hopefully some against the Gooners, so season is not in anyway done.I believe playing the 3 in central midfield was required but Giggs was poor, very poor.I see some Jan signings coming in still. We're not as strong as we would hope, with or without Ronaldo in the final third we were horrible. Had he still been with us Cashley would probably attacked a lot more meaning Chelsea would have nicked it 2-1 if anything.

I swear when we had Ronaldo the arguement coming from a lot of opposition fans was that he never did it in the big games and he only performed in the smaller games. The tactics were spot on to be honest especially considering our back 4 wasn't first choice and Berbatov was injuredi love the fact that you use us losing against Chelsea to validate your oppinion that were not gonna win anything when was the last time we won at Chelsea, haven't done so in about 8 games or somthing. we competed very well and were unlucky to come away with nothingBad offside decision in the first half and a howler for the frerkick leading to the goal but apart from that it was refereed well Anderson Carrick and Fletcher did the business Anderson occupied Essien really well. Obertan again showed why Nani's days are numbered, He'll be in the first 11 by christmas if not sooner and to think he might not even be fully fit yet. with Hargreaves supposedly on his way back the serb and the Aff coming in January and hopefully at least 1 AM coming i remain positive about us retaining the league we've played all the other big teams Liverpool Arsenal Chelsea City and spurs only one left is Villa before the winter break(dont like the way the media are still ignoring Arsenal's tittle threat though. where are rivals havn'ti'm more confident now than i was on Saturday night (and i was very optimistic about us retaining the league at that point as well) plenty of positives to take.Rooney was a beast

Valencia did a very good job on him. he's got the attitude work rate and dicipline of Park mixed with the directness that can nick us somthing on the break. Granted he's probably not of the quality to be in the United 1st 11 long term but he definitly offers somthing very valuable to the team, i struggle to understand the stick he gets from some quarters

Decent player, something Ronaldo would never have done. People are hard on him cos that was Ronaldo's position last season but they're 2 different players. He has the potential which can be fulfilled, without doubt he did an excellent job yesterday, can really come in to his own but to be fair we bought him as an attacking option so he really needs to go push on as the winger we paid the money for. I just find his decision making/vision lets him down at times.Against CSKA numerous times and again yesterday he is unsure when to use the overlap. O'Shea was in a brilliant position yesterday and he didn't see him. Neville kept going on the outside of him against CSKA but he ran at defenders when he should have passed and passed when he should have ran.How old is he 23?

/Really impressed with Anderson. Seems like he has been told to push higher up this year. Good performance. Dissapointing result.

A lot of positive things to take away from that performanceThe ref f*cked up quuite badlyIt was never a freekick, fletcher won the ball and that homosexual cole went all theatrical, the ref was in a poor position to see what happened i n the box (standing behind J. Cole, Drogba hauled down Brown, Drogba was offside and interefered with play and should have been flagged.Overall quite dissapointing considering we battled so well and really deserved to winOur midfield did very well, more proof that when fit we should really play a midfield 3 of Fletcher, Carrick, Anderson, Fletcher and Anderson were everywhere, Carrick was positive, he even hit a few shots from 25 yards out which was very good to seeAnderson made a few excellently timed runs into the box and really should have been slid in 1-on-1 both times, but for a poor pass from Giggs (who was the only player to have an off game for us) and bad, bad decision making from Rooney (who also had Valencia open)valencia did an excellent job on cole, I don't think the little poof made it past the half-way line once during the whole game - not only that but Valencia still offered an outlet going forward, and he really should have had a penalty inside the first 5 minutes.Evans did very well marshalling Drogba, as did Brown, O'shea was strong at the back (as usual - despite everyone seeming to think he is some kind of liability)And once moreDROGBA, DID NOT DO WELL AGAINST US. As I said before, about drogba hattrick, smhHe has never ever scored a premier league goal against us, and the only goal he HAS scored came in the 125th minute of injury time in the FA cup.All in all despite the dissapointment and fury at the refs ineptitude I was very happy with the performance - hopefully we should batter everton after the international break (sigh) and I can throw a conker or two at some scousers - I've just realised I've lost my voice from shouting at the referee/singing .SAF got the tactics spot-onHopign it snot a knee-jerk but Evans had a great game and hopefully Rio fit or Not he will start with Vida in the centre of defence on the 21st.Obertan had a little flash of brilliance when he came on (He really is looking very promising, his distribution is absolutely excellent, both in choice of target and timing, its something quite rare to see in a winger)VDS once again to me, showed why he is the best keeper in the prem, SAFE HANDS.A lot of dodgy shots came at him with players looking to pounce on the spill, he held absolutely everything and his distribution was spot-on.We did miss somethign to connect our midfield and Rooney though, I think we mayu have had it had Giggs had a better game but to me it is just another indication we should play

VDSO'shea - Evans - Vidic - EvraFletcher - Carrick - AndersonValencia - Rooney - Obertan

If we are looking to play with two wingers against Everton and Berba is unfitOr

VDSO'shea - Evans - Vidic - EvraFletcher - Carrick - AndersonRooney - BerbaOwen

Imo, thogu him not sure how much trust / desire SAF has to play Berbatov, Owen & Rooney all together.By the wayVidic's smile after seeing thisdimage1.gifWas QUALITY!Bring on the scouse

+Evans, learning from the best.cantona-kick.jpg

The only good thing to come out of that game was the formation.Without any shadow of a doubt that's our best formation and team with the exception of Nani/Park/Obertan or Owen replacing any of the front three.Which raises the question how does Berbs fit into it ? Honourable mention for Brown and Evans, I along with Jason Cundy thought they were gonna get raped yesterday but they handled both Drogba and Anelka very well./Lol @ some of the opinions on here. Seriously wonder what game some of you guys were watching.
