Beyond the sonics, the lyrics are embarrassingly piss-poor as well. “The game is like a box of Roses/Because when they’re done with the chocolate the rapper gets thrown away”, he spits in a rare moment of insight.

the biggest pisstake is Skepta comes f*ck*ng hard on this track. How can he make him look like a d*ckhead.

Skepta - Big (ft Chipmunk) is one of the best things hes done in a long time

fully agree

big is hard, that bar they quoted wasn't even a real bar - I mean Skepta was singing it

not listened to the album but what do you expect, he want's some cake and that's not coming from a bunch of goons who download the album.

I've been saying this for ages

Grime ruined what little credibility it had when it started chasing the money and mainstream fame

Skepta being the biggest culprit

Thing is your average Grime fan doesn't hold these 'artist' up to any sort of standards, so they literally get away with murder (in terms of sh*t music) for the sake #teamuk (cringeeeeee!)

NME giving him a 3/10 is am absolute mock tbh, it basically means shoreditch hipsters don't care anymore, bad times ahead for Joseph

grime lost its credibility in a number of ways. chasing mainstream fame isnt bad imo.

grime lost credibility when it stopped being a reflection of the streets.

only ppl who play grime now are ppl who could be in the cast of skins. was never meant to be that.

Even though no one is going to believe me, I'd like to say for the record that I've been a grime fan since I was about 13, and am certainly not part of this new wave of 'ironic' hipster faggots who missed the boat cuz they were listening to some indie bollocks.

I can only assume by 'Joseph' FANTA was mentioning me among the ranks of hipsters who aren't interested

So there

Enough of this anyway you're wrong, I know how it is so SNM

C/S brisc

Still think chasing mainstream fame always leads to sh*t flash in the pan music IMO

When you come from a niche musical genre it shouldnt really be about that tbh

Quality of music and what it represents>>>>>>fame

i hear wot ur sayin..i think if it kept its underground connection the same it would have panned out differently.

but from time pirate radio got locked and the internet became its main outlet it was inevitable

Sad state of affairs :(

LOL @ caring what NME say about ANYTHING though.

John Doran is good though, his review being in NME doesn't discredit it

Nah he's sh*t whether he's in NME or not.

His embarassing writing discredits it, regardless of what publication it's in.

I can relate to some of the lyrics on track 1, but on a real ting this album is sheiser.

Anybody who thinks otherwise is a fag and should go and diagf.

Skepta is obviously capable of much better (Frisco, Mike Lowery, OTT2 etc etc prove this)

I dunno why he doesn't just stick to his bread and butter, honestly.

and what was that refelction? being chased around town by yutes and getting shanked and shot?

running up on ppl, and shotting.

yeah that relfection will definitely be worth a multi-thousand pound investment from a music label innit

skepta was always sh*t imo, much better producer than artist. lol@ even downloading this digital crap for free
