nah ^^ you're a cool guy and everything but i didnt see you do sh*t for the aid reliefs going on in darfur, haiti, palestine, chile, to name a few that have happened in the last 18 months. allow jumping on this japan bandwagon. 400,000 people are still homeless in haiti, and over a million in sudan.

Japan made $5 trillion last year. they'll do just fine

Don't be a c*nt mate

Just because JPN has a higher GDP than Haiti etc doesn't mean they deserve our help any less

If this happened here I would expect the international community to aid us, regardless of our financial situation, we have an obligation to send aid.

nah nah, marvell is clearly criticising the premise of his urge to give money from sold t shirts to the red cross fund. he didn't do nothing for other natural disasters in the past 12 or so months, so clearly he has basis to question his motives... it does look like he's jumping on a wagon still

Why does he have the right to question the motives of charity?

Say I donate £50 to cancer cure and treatment charities, should I be vilified because I have not acknowledged other potentially more damaging conditions that have been around for longer?

If he wants to donate proceeds of his sales to red cross, an organisation that isn't exclusively aiding Japan, then why try and belittle it by saying he didn't do anything for other natural disasters?

Ignore the woman making racecar sounds and look at the people running in the carpark at around 11 and 20 seconds in.....

Most of the airport went under -

Apparently the Japanese quake went on for 5 minutes and the Indian Ocean one in 2004 was between 8 and 10 minutes long. This pic from '04 is unbelievable:

Comes like something from Scary movie...you've got the brown guys fleeing for their lives, and the white man casually strolling toward the danger to find out what all the fuss is about
