Just installed the new OS on 8900 (official one has dropped on some asian network and is now able to download from blackberry site - check crackberry forum for it) its looking quite good at the moment.Got the new beta to opera mini aswell and it seems sick, definitely worth checking out for those that dont like the bb browser.

I've played around with the bold 9700. Good phone, probably gonna be me in about a month. Nice and simple device, nice look to it and good functionality. Also was considering the E72, I can get over the budget looking symbian s60 menus but the usability of it seems to be lacking. Optical trackpad is not as good as the bold and everything seems just not as enjoyable to use.So despite the openness of the s60 3rd edition platform the blackberry is what I prefer. Somebody else said it best "the e72 feels like a poor woman wearing a queen's crown".

Where & how are you man updating your OS'?I've got the Curve 8900...
For the 8900 you get it here:http://forums.crackberry.com/f100/newest-os-v5-0-0-411-east-asia-8900-a-400282/& the latest official bold 9700 os is this one:http://forums.crackberry.com/f146/newest-official-bold-9700-os-5-0-0-423-east-asia-392209/Which im guessing isnt much of an upgrade as the bolds already had os 5 didnt they? The latest official bold 9000 release is here:http://forums.crackberry.com/f83/official-os5-0-0-411-bold-bell-mobility-399035/If you need to check your os to see which one you have then go to options > about and its the 3rd line down

Yeah it does but no UK provider has released the latest OS update yet.RIM give the OS to all the mobile networks and then they release them in their own time so, if your like me and are on tmobile, youll be waiting a long time. If youre on vodafone then maybe not so long as other vodaphones in europe have now released it.Aslong as its an official release from somewere though its fine to use (you just have to install it differently as your DM wont recognise it until youve installed it).
