The government in the budget review 2012 said that they will drop income tax on highest earners to 45p - down 5p

Now, higher income earners will be more likely to drive big motors who are sapping on fuel but they are more likely to use public transport given the nature of their occupations.

A rise in fuel prices is just the government buying more fuel from the profit in decrease of income tax on higher earners then have the audacity to increase the price for the higher consumers of fuel - your every day joe.
