been trying to get leaner for a while on the paleo diet

breakfast - kale shake with banana, stawberries, blueberries, rasberries, ginger, lemon juice, 1 scoop protein, water

snack - apple and banana, coffee

lunch - chicken and salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomato, peppers, avacado, olives)

snack - grapes, strawberries, coffee (sometimes another banana)

dinner - pretty much the same as lunch but maybe fish/meat etc

exercise = metafit once a week, swim once a week, 2/3 days weight training, sometimes rock climbing or surfing

f*cking miss carbs currently having a cheat meal once a week

any thoughts? probably way too much sugar from all the fruit, still having milk in coffee, and maybe too many bananas

Tried the chicken and it really is high quality, im a bit funny with eggs but some guys at the gym swear by these ready boiled eggs - cheap and ready to go especially if you eat 4-6 a day or share with someone.

(my apologies if this has been done already)

Some good dietary tips in here dons.

I joined the gym after not training / watching my diet for years. I eat healthily normally, just probably not enough.

Joined the gym about 2 weeks ago to gain more strength (I came last in a game of mercy between a load of boys on a stag do, realised I need to man up).

I've now got a bit more time to focus on my diet as I'm working from home for the next few weeks. I'm currently noticing that my recover is taking longer than I'd like. After reading through this I think it's because of my diet. Going Asda now.

Guys, are the other cuts of a chicken (such as leg, thigh) very high in fat and not very lean?

The reason I ask is that it's cheaper to buy a whole chicken and roast di damn thing than buy cooked meat or the cuts individually.

The leanest is breast, cheapest aswell as with a whole chicken or leg/thigh you are paying for the bone in the weight aswell.
