Kuffir
In regards to the defence... Wenger isn't a "rotation" manager per say. If he could use the same 18 players throughout the whole season, he would. so y the plainface when i said injury = rotation a cupl pages back ? The same England that were going to play Stones ahead of him? I think he's a great signing, perfect for our manager. Your point? He too would have been perfect for our manager. Stones is the type of player we should be going out and getting from the lower league clubs.
TF S4DK
We have 2 recognised CB's and a utility man. Yeh he just started for England... At right back. He should have brought someone else in. Read what I wrote earlier... The summer and your purchases should be where you look at where you went wrong the season before, and fix. We replaced our defensive bodies and concentrated on the lack of pace, which we can all agree we lacked in the latter half of the season... Don't ask me about the DM cos to me thats his failure of the summer. Chambers is as utility as Vermaelen for us, except replace playing LB with RB. Vermaelen played 21 times for us last season. 13 where starts... Our fouth choice centre back last season was Sagna, and while I can remember him playing there, I don't think he started a match there, more needs must situation. Arsenal and Chelsea don't really rotate their back lines. This year Chambers is doing Vermaelen's job, Monreal doing Sagna's, and then you have Bellerin and Hayden to come in when needs must - All of this was tried out pre-season. Hell I'd say re-signing Cesc was more important than another CB.

Seth Rollins
To be honest though TF is right. I would have preferred another come in and I think in January this will be addressed but I don't think it will be an overwhelming signing. No one messes with their back line. And we're only complaining because ours are injured and at the same time. If Debuchy was fit would this even be a discussion? You can't ask quality to come and sit on the bench and that's what Vermaelen done. No DM yet again though is criminal.
mp*
Our 3rd and 4th choice CB have played about 10 games in that position between them. One could be very good there one day, the other shouldn't even be on the list of options. Chambers should be 2nd choice RB, 4th choice CB and ulitily in C/DM if worst comes to worst. Monreal should be backup LB/sold. Chambers is 19, Kos is 29, Mertersacker is 30. Our 3rd choice CB should be 23-26, just someone good maybe with potential to go up a level or 2, nobody is asking for an overwhelming signing, just a balanced squad. Da Luv Doc
Chambers is a good 3rd choice CB. Jenks will hopefully improve for next year under sam allardyce. No 23-26 year old would settle for 3rd or 4th choice CB. We'll need someone older/younger.
Captain Planet
But say you're 23, just come from a lesser league/team and have been given assurances that you are the latest project, knowing Per is 29 and Kos is 28 then wouldn't you be content playing the understudy for at least a season? I know ballers want to kick ball, but in our situation you will be guaranteed games through injury as well as a fast track to being a first choice CB once Kos' tendons finally give way. Bobby Reds
Chambers should be playing for the England under 21's tbh If he was spanish/italian/german he would be no where near the full international team except for training camps Sterling should be doing this as well tbh. England always give young players (kids in the case of Rooney and Sterling now) too much exposure and expectation from too early. Chambers is kool he wont be poor at right back and there is still johnson playing there at international level along with walker, clyne. But yeah england are the worst

You would for a season, but then what? Per and Kos still have many years in them, both been given new deals this year... After say January just say Chambers doesn't need to get many minutes, over the summer he'll accept that he had a good year, but come next winter if the case remains, he'll be talking about needing to play so he can go Euros with England... TF S4DK
Nobody was convinced on Sagna at CB until the time came, and like I'll keep saying he didn't exactly play a lot of games there... None of us know what Monreal's really gonna be like there, we can assume but we don't know. Yet people ae talking with conviction that they know its unacceptable. Do you think our current CB options are sufficient? Do you think our 1st choice CB partnership is of the required quality? Not for the first time, the following words come to mind when discussing Monreal.. Weak.Defence
Heero Yuy
Monreal can't even play well in his own favored natural position, so him playing out of position is worrying to say the least.
Seydou
Poor guy came in as that shitty Brazilians replacement. TF S4DK
I think our CB partnership is set in stone and until long-term injury and/or long-term loss of form, they aren't being changed.

Michel Kane
Don't care how TF or anyone else rationalises it. Going into the season with only 3 CB's, not rotating enough, etc is d*ckhead shit.
