Flojo stop defending Suarez it makes you look like a mug which is a shame because you aren't

I aren't defending Suarez in this instance, I know he's a little c*nt I'm pointing out the hypocrisy of set man making him out to be the devil incarnate. There are players I've seen put in potential leg breakers on a regular basis who are seen as loveable rogues ffs.

He's not the devil incarnate, but the day after he decides to act out his favourite scene from 28 days later he's going to catch some much deserved flack, citing that there are some other players in the history of the game who have also been deserving of flack 10 years ago, isn't really logical...

Nah you're moving along the point of what I'm saying to make it sound like some abstract point.

I fully expected Suarez to be the centre of attention and it's warranted but that doesn't change the fact some people that are up in arms idolised players that did similar or even did worst whilst they were playing. It's hypocrisy, simple as that.

Toney talking about how nasty he is whilst idolising Cantona?

Yeah really?

Graeme Souness talking about how it's a disgrace for him to to that in the week of the anniversary of Hilsborough? When he sold his story to The Sun on the anniversary of Hillsborough knowing full well what the stance of the club was towards that paper.

But anyway as you were.

^ eh, I don't think people criticize him because he isn't a good footballer, it's because he frequently fives, stamps on people, bites people...and does things that are generally extremely morally questionable / against the rules of the game

Some people may do one or two, but he rolls them all into one package, it's impressive

thats why i said he does dumb shit not disputing that

opposing fans opinion is MINOR just hope Rodgers,Ayre,FSG deal with the situation with tactfulness and dont alienate suarez cos him leaving would be 10 steps back

hes well behaved off the field his behaviour on it makes him what it is. have accepted that long time ago. this is no excuse for his behaviour though the shit from yday was crazy!

What kind of equivocation is this?

Please explain how replying to Toney saying Suarez doesn't have a decent bone in his body (which is a more than fair comment to make) with a question about Eric Cantona, is anything but abstract?

Why in the world you are now taking up an untenable position based purely on ad homniem defence is beyond me

If pointing out his hypocrisy is abstract then yeah I'm being very abstract.

I like Suarez and I'm fully aware he's a little shit. I begrudgingly liked Cantona strangely enough and understood he had his moments.

I know how much Toney likes Cantona and he's a similar character to Suarez in the sense he was gifted but a magnet for controversy so when he's getting on his moral high horse I can't help but notice the hypocrisy especially as for me Cantona was worse. If he just said 'I just don't like him' I could understand that that but he always try to come at it from a moral standpoint which is laughable.

I'm not going to be a hypocrite and say it's ok for Suarez to dive and then get on my moral high horse and condemn Bale for doing it - What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

^^ lol that tackle was very similar to a tackle Suarez made on an opponent which he then decided to follow up with pretending to be injured. If you want to hold up something as an example of somebody doing something horrible on a football pitch you really should've just posted up Cantona attacking an abusive fan, as Suarez has done practically everything else.

Yes there are a long line of players who do abhorrent things, this man however has been over here 3 years and has a rap sheet longer than most if not all.

He should take up the PFA's offer of anger management out of sheer good will.

Also on Moral high ground, Manchester United suspended Eric Cantona for four months before any action was taken by the FA after the crowd incident despite him being the best player in the squad, in a season that United ended up losing both the league and the FA Cup, it seems however that Luis Suarez's indiscretions are going unpunished by those upstairs due to him being the best player. (Either that or he's showing a complete contempt and disregard to the pleas for him to behave himself)

What does this individual have to do before serious action is taken internally or is the fact that he's by far the best player giving him a free reign to do what he likes.
