A teen girl died after being shot multiple times, while two others were injured in a shooting Friday afternoon in the South Side Woodlawn neighborhood.

Authorities were not releasing the 17-year-old girl’s name Friday night pending family notification.

But residents of a home in the 6400 block of South Eberhart were in shock over the murder. They said the teen was shot while walking on the street about 3:30 p.m., then collapsed onto the porch of the home, bleeding from the neck and chest.

The girl had frequently come by the house to hang out and eat, residents said. The owner of the home frequently cooked dinner for people on her block. On Friday, she was cooking fried chicken when she heard the shots.

“When the bullets come, we run,” said the owner of the home, who didn’t want to be identified.

“[The girl] always had some funny joke. She never disrespected anyone,” said Timesha Writez, 20, of Bellwood, on the porch where the girl was shot.

In the shooting, a 20-year-old man was shot in the knee and a 34-year-old man was shot in the foot.

At the scene Friday night, police were questioning two men, although no one was in custody for the murder.

As of 9:30 p.m., there were at least six people shot in the city since 3:40 p.m., officials said.

Sometime in 2013, Lil Jay, whom belongs in the Gangster Disciples set known as “St Lawrence Boys”, posted the picture to the right on his twitter account with the caption “#Gang Shout Out to RHEM twins that made O Block #Seriously”. Many looking at the picture believe that the two individuals in the middle of the picture are responsible for Odee Perry’s murder. The St Lawence Boys(STL) are currently beefing with various Black Disciples sets in Chicago.
