Niall Ferguson
Funny that. Bet the job spec is filed away in the same drawer as you're 100k paycheck. You're? Nah I didn't make 100k last year, or anything close to it. A deal I was working on fell through and that was that. Calm though, I put myself in a position to make a fairly big deal. So not only are you a failed Maths grad with a 2:2. You're also a lazy c*nt who can't wake up in a morning, AND one who doesn't know the difference between your and you're. I already told this Caucazoid f*ck not to chat to me. See your the only one who would start cumming over an iphone autocorrect. 2:2 is right, bummed uni but still landed a good job / getting up at half 7, but I want to wake up earlier. Yet you're the one who ain't happy, lying to a forum for props. Clearly had noone giving you that pat on the head you so desperately need. OK well what have I lied about? Exhibit A I'm in my first year of business and looking at a pretty decent turnover. My overall pay this year should be about 100k after tax. This herb . Claims to be an amateur boxer for 15 years, Begs PDC, claims he can offer a job(Exclusive to Oxford & cambridge students only) Same time he claims a deal he was working on fell through. The Nogonomics of this fictional character is evident. ol'steve harvey suit wearing in the crib, running a business on a windows xp netbook ass nigga. FOH. Although you got everyone's d*ck hard with this mish-mash of a post, let's break it down: 1) I clearly stated in the post to the Caucazoid that 100k was based on a deal that I was involved in and didn't happen. When are you or have you ever been a position to broker big deals? Simply answer that to yourself. 2) I was an amateur boxer, it's not that big a deal. If you want to find out you can...but it'll cost you your nose bone. 3) Begs PDC? You'll have to show me wtf you're talking about here... 4) There was never any claim of a job offer, I simply wanted to make the point that I am getting applicants with great CVs, and people in here were claiming to be on this and that and most of them (like yourself) have shite degrees from shite unis (if at all) so they're obviously lying about their salaries (with exceptions). Your post might have given everyone a sense of joy, since most of you are all a bunch of mugs living vicariously through urban culture, but it was actually dead. Yoshie
I haven't read one salary that doesn't seem genuine apart your 100k claim that you're refuting now. Funny that.

Mizchif
I could save, I should save, but I don't. I feel like I'm waiting for a partner to purchase a house with. Saving for a deposit is a big deal, you're obviously going to want a decent place, I could easily 700 of my salary each month and not have any major lifestyle changes so to be honest I don't know what I'm playing at. Just love wasting money I guess. I want a deposit by 35 so that gives me just short of 6 years, that's an achievable goal if I stick to it

Niall Ferguson
getting 2 mortgages young is how you get rich imo save people 2 mortgages in London, on houses in prime pitch, that will yield decent ROIs is no mean feat. The Evening Standard states that 100k is the minimum needed to get one mortgage in London, let alone two. http://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/londoners-must-earn-100000-per-year-before-they-can-afford-a-home-9793495.html This is why I question half the sh*t that ppl post. If you actually knew about the things you speak of, you wouldn't say them. I think people on here think money grows on trees, and when they realise it doesn't: 1) Blame society 2) Sell drugs or commit some other crime 3) Change the rules to fit their warped view 4) Use the internet to create an existence 5) All of the above

Mate going to Uni isn't the be all and end all. Tbh a 25 year old who went into plumbing or construction or another trade at the age of 18 is probably earning better than the average 25 year old graduate. I didn't see anybody in this thread post anything ridiculous. I also didn't go to Uni uet but I'm definitely earning more than somebody my age with a degree in law or anything else, unless they're working in investment banking

Sinister
It is achievable, but hard. There are a few new builds accepting Help to buy, 5% down on deposit, but if you're on a relatively low salary you won't get the mortgage, as the total cost of place will be high. If it's not a new build then it's nigh on impossible but can still be achievable based on circumstances/salary.
Yoshie
I got a 5% mortgage, combined salary was £44.5k, house price was £230k Trouble is to remortgage I'll need to own 10-15% of the house which I need to save hard for over the next 18 months.
Mizchif
I'm a complete novice when it comes to this housing thing, I think I get remortgaging but why do people normally do it? Is it for the cash boost? And does it mean you start again paying for your house from scratch or do you only remortgage a %age of the value? Help! TF S4DK
1. i have multiple and credible asians in my life who ASSURE me i can get anything with 10-15% 2. i actually earnt the numbers that you prematurely spoke of on here before your shit fell through cheers and good luck for that deal in the future you fucknog 1. 15-25%
Sinister
Remortgaging is just moving your current Mortgage with a new mortgage product, can be the same bank or a a different bank. Mortgages are sold with teaser rates fixed for a short period before rising to a normal variable %. So, after the short period is up you may be able to move to a different product or change banks. There'll be high fees involved, but if it means you save a fair bit every month in the long term its worth it. What you're thinking of is Home Equity Loans; this is when you take a loan out against the value you own (not mortgage remaining owed).
