pretty much just watch the tv channels online, clear history

 

don't connect Your aerial to Your tv, when they test it it won't be able to pick up channels, they will say You don't need the license and leave

 

they will then repeat visit every 2 years

if You have Sky/Virgin, there's no way of getting out of it, You need a TV License to use those.

Malika has a point, though the sky/virgin note was useless as you are (probably) also paying for channels you don't watch through those services, still though -  I don't believe the TV Licence cost is justified.

 

FWIW the BBC makes plenty of money themselves and could essentially survive without the license fee.
