1. There will never be a "Major Label" specifically for grime

2. Grime is dead

You obviously don't know what a "major label" is, nor can I see any being interested.

I think allot of majors and A&R's are buzzing around grime artist. If German whip blows up the way I think it will when it goes in the charts next month. We may see quite a few other guys being signed.

I don't understand the notion that grime is dead. There are raves every week now.

Birmingham, bristol and Nottingham now have an established scene.

there are over 30 weekly grime radio shows on pirate and legal radio. Playing fresh music its not like garage where people are spinning tracks from 15 years ago.

there is allot of intrest from majors wanting to leech on the resurgence.

The next lord of the mics actually has two heavyweights clashing.

Can see why people would say its dead. But its not, it may be dead to them as it was not the same as it was to them growing up in the 'golden era' etc.

What defines being dead?

Its like Mike Kane said the other week when people said RnB is dead and his response was it would be dead to people like me who don't follow it close enough to know whats going on within that scene, for instant if you go to a club night what is not specialist in that music and you here 20 minutes of grime you will get oi, pulse x, Forward, what do you call it, P and Q and eskimo same way you here wolf, chopper when you here 20 minutes of jungle

To me when people say things are dead they are usually bandwagon people who fly from to the new trends, Since I have grown up I have heard, Jungle, Garage, Hip Hop, Grime, Dubstep, Funky etc all being dead yet the majority of those scene having a strong following.

In a year from now when scene jumpers get bored they will probably be saying house is dead.

Of course we all look through stuff through nostalgic shades ''the beats are not as good as when I use to listen to it'' ''The mc's today would of been eaten up by guys like crazy titch back in the day''

but I hear what you are saying my brother is the exact same when it comes to grime

Its dead because no one buys grime music and most people dont even check the artists . Bar the dizzee raskits, wileys and skeptas that have crossed over
