Atletico Madrid have agreed a deal to sign Diego Forlan from Villarreal. The former Manchester United ace was being tracked by a host of clubs, with a number of Premiership sides looking to bring him back to England. However, Atletico have moved for Forlan as they seem to have secured a ready-made replacement for captain Fernando Torres. Liverpool are widely expected to finalise a deal for Torres in the coming days, in a transfer now believed to be worth ââ¬32million (ã24.2million) plus Luis Garcia. Of the ââ¬32million, ââ¬21million (ã14.1million) of that has been used to purchase Forlan. Atletico have confirmed that Forlan has agreed a four-year deal at the Vicente Calderon. "Atletico Madrid, Villarreal and the representative of Diego Forlan have reached an agreement for the transfer of the Uruguayan player to the Rojiblanco club for the next four seasons," said a club statement.

Van Persie doesn't know when to put his foot through a ball or when to do a delicate chip so he gets air on decision making straight, he's talented but take away the last 18 months he don't even make the list.

All great strikers and some have more flair than Forlan but technically interms of striking the ball left and right foot there is nobody in that list that can do anything Forlan can't.

The only player I've ever seen strike a ball as true as Forlan is Recoba, but Forlan can strike the ball equally left and right foot, no other striker scores the amount of outside the box top corners with their wrong foot as Forlan.

Not even taking into account 2 golden shoes and all time top scorer for Uruguay, your list has alot to live up to.

Had a shit 12 months but still helped Uruguay win Copa America last year so I don't think he is over the hill yet.
