Black.
http://fourfourtwo.com/news/england/24135/default.aspxDefoe breaks foot ahead of Bolton match?442 Staff - 37 minutes agoUnconfirmed reports suggest Spurs striker Jermain Defoe broke his foot in training on Friday, just 24 hours ahead of the Londoners' crucial Premier League tie at Bolton.Spurs will be looking for their second straight league win, having defeated Stoke on Tuesday night, but any injury to their in-form striker would be a cruel and massive blow to their chances.Defoe has scored three goals in four starts since he returned to White Hart Lane from Portsmouth earlier this month, and will be hoping to forge a strong partnership with Russian forward Roman Pavlyuchenko in the Tottenham attack. The club are yet to confirm or deny the reports through their official channels.weren't meant to be in training as well, couple people on SO saying they seen in a protective cast :D Looks like its time for Bent to step up

Black.
Jermain Defoe is out for the season after breaking his foot in training.Source: NOTWThe £15million forward, who has scored three goals in four games since returning from Portsmouth, faces up to three months on the sidelines.A Spurs source said: "It's a massive blow. We don't know exactly how long Jermain will be out but it seems likely it will be at least eight to 10 weeks."The injury is a huge disappointment for manager Harry Redknapp, who brought Defoe back to Spurs - the club he had left for just £7.5million a year earlier.Defoe's injury leaves Spurs with major problems up front and will spark renewed speculation that Redknapp could move for Liverpool's troubled striker Robbie Keane. But with the transfer window closing at 5pm on Monday, the injury could not have come at a worse time for Tottenham.Pissed

HangTheDJ
Sky Sports News sources understand that Portsmouth are in talks with Tottenham over a £7million deal for Giovani dos Santos. The Mexican playmaker has struggled for form and fitness since arriving at White Hart Lane from Barcelona last summer. He has rarely played under Harry Redknapp and does not appear to figure in the manager's long-term plans.Dos Santos has been linked with a move back to his homeland, while Ligue 1 champions Lyon have also been credited with an interest. The 19-year-old stated earlier this week that he was happy at Spurs and wanted to try and forge a successful career in England. But it now appears as though Pompey are keen to bring in Dos Santos before Monday's transfer deadline.Tony Adams is looking to strengthen his squad after losing key players such as Lassana Diarra and Jermain Defoe this month. Rsonist
From an ITK, that has called everything right for the last year....bad news - Don't think this £7m figure is right at all. I'm hearing it's a loan for rest of season, and £7m is the price if anyone wants him in summer when he's been in the Pompey shop window. He doesn't want to go to Pompey but we're pushing him that way. Pompey don't have £7m for goodness sake. This bit, I'm guessing: The benefit to us would be if he got a run of games on someone else's wage bill. Review it in the summer.HARRY OUT!
