The Queens Park Rangers manager, Harry Redknapp, has hit back at Adel Taarabt in an escalating war of words by claiming that the only reason the Moroccan midfielder looks slim is because he was recently suffering from tonsillitis.

 

On Monday Taarabt responded to Redknapp’s claims that he was “three stone overweight” by releasing pictures of himself and in particular his waistline, appearing to contradict his manager’s claims, made after Sunday’s 3-2 defeat to Liverpool.

 

But Redknapp told the Sun: “The only reason he has lost weight is because he has had tonsillitis. That’s the only way we could get any weight off of him.

 

“He is not fit to play a game, that’s the truth. He is the worst professional I have ever come across and I have been his only ally at QPR for the past three years.”

on the otherhand, this is the most positive ive been pre season for a long long time.

 

we've got rid of alot of dross and have got some early signings in.

we've already announced pre season fixtures and have some proper games lined up

season tickets are reasonable

 

Taraabt going though..... dont know how i feel, it was time for him to leave really it just hasnt worked out. we should of built the team around him when we went up but no, cast aside for barton and swp etc etc

 

will never forget that season, best player i have ever seen in the hoops.

whats the other option, siging prem players? which we've done every transfer window and gone backwards, we have to realise who we are and play with it. we cant spend big money anymore, we are a championship team and these signings make so much more sense than barton,swp,rio,remy,sandro,niko etc etc etc

 

you guys laugh but you cant grasp relativity in football
