In a week we're certain people's gassed up opinions on the loyalty of certain player's loyalties have been well and truely exposed,

someone actually deserving of the phrase Legend and Loyal player retires.

fantastic player in his time and an instrumental reliable player before the injuries wrecked him, fully expect him aswell as Giggs to join the set-up in some capacity.

One of the few United Players to actually come out and comment regarding FC United and fans protests,

Why is he so loyal?

You learn nothing about loyalty when everything is good, hard times are when you will see examples of loyalty and nobody can tell me that throughout his career Neville has endured periods where from a competitive point of view anywhere looked more attractive than where he was.

The ethos of the club seems to of changed, sadly,

Sir Matt's famous quote of if "they're good enough they're old enough" seems to of been forgotten somewhat

the likes of Eikrem, Possebon (who evidently have had had enough) and also the likes of Josh King (possibly) and you can argue Macheda aswell haven't been iven the opportunity their quality and talent deserves, and i'm not a big Macheda fan tbh, but he's got more to offer than Gibson, albeit from a different position,

I've commented on here about SAF's comments after the treble that our rivals are no longer Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea but are Real, Juve and Barcalona,

this has probably changed his techniques at bringing through young players, and the beating Real gave us the season after the treble was another wake up call for him,

since then we haven't really produced any exciting attacking youth players, obviously the likes of Nani and Ronaldo improved while playing in our system, but they were products of someone else's system,

he's used to speak quite abit on the importance of Lampards regular goals from midfield to Chelsea's success and in my oppinion that is the reason for his persistance in playing Gibson, as tbh he offers f*ck all else.

Pogba and Morrison should start getting a look in at least in the Carling cup next season as creativly they are good enough to be in the first team.

its going to take some OUTSTANDING talent for SAF to pay attention again

and we're kinda lucky that we have the likes of Wellbeck, Macheda, King, Pogba and Morrison all coming through at the same time

so he'll have no choice but to play them at some point

but honestly if Pogba doesnt make it @ United ill eat my hat.

Wellbeck, Macheda, King, Pogba and Morrison

only 2 at max of the strikers here will make it, as we have Hernandez and will always have at least 1 big big name striker

Morrison if he keeps his head down will be fine, but.................. who knows,

Pogba it remains to be seen what lies ahead, how he beds into first team footbnall in the carling cup next season will be key,

don't make bold statements when SAF's involved, i'm sure there were plenty of ppl who said they'd eat their hats if Possebon didnt make it, and look,

Will Keane not even mentioned here either,

at one point we had no reserve strikers now we have too many

Will Keane is class, good mention

Possebon was unlucky with injuries, that one knock from that boro lad set him back loads

and when he came back he never looked the same, but then again i dont think he was given a fair crack at getting back into some form

seem to remember some fans raving over Dave Jones when he was with us too, look what happened to him?

how many of you watch the youth games? lol

possebon was class before his injury, he wasnt the best though, you lot are a tad overating him.... im sure nobody said "i'll eat my hat if possebon dont make it", cos in comparison to wilshere at that age, lol well theres no camparison really

and the mental side tells you alot about him, which is not hes fault really, broken leg, came back (took longer to recover then expected), didnt look the same player when he returned, loaned him out to see wha gwarn, braga said wtf this aint the same player in the videos, sent him back, he stayed at reserve level and now hes back in brazil benchwarming. I do actually blame the legbreak

strangely he was a fan-favourite though, probably to my knowledge unless kompressor corrects me, the only ever foreign youth product to have a song sung about them after a few brief first team appearances

posse-possebon, posse-possebon, nanananana

welbeck and macheda said it all already, and i'll actually say this again, I'LL EAT MY HAT IF THEM TWO ARENT IN OUR 25 FIRST TEAM SQUAD NEXT YEAR AS STRIKERS (excluding loans)

king is a beast, another one under the radar to most, loan at preston went alright, he showed his talent, but wasnt used to their style of play at all and got injured badly while there, since hes returned hes been showing us the talent ole used to scream about. Pace, Technique, Dribbling.... if you wanna imagine joshua king, just think everything fraizer campbell should of been

pogba, said it already aswell, carling cup for next season and maybe even a few first team appearances are on the cards if he keeps it up at this rate, absolutely frightening potential. And OF COURSE HE IS A MIDFIELDER... in the past few weeks actually, hes been getting lambasted for not trying enough in certain games, and playing using 10% of his effort.. The captain Ryan Tunnicliffe (who is another star) shouted at him for it not too long ago, and pogba responded with the 3rd long shot you saw above in that video. The funniest thing was, it was his next touch after the captain shouted at him thus proving alot of peoples point lol he aint even fully trying yet

morrison, you already know

keane, has yet to hit the heights from last season, but hes lucky a player like him always looks good on the eye, left foot, right foot, technique, not a problem too him... i doubt we'll see much of him till a couple seasons where the first teams concerned, way too fragile.

Its intresting to see how its gonna pan out, the most key part is the transition because the talent is not in question.

Other youth team players to look out for

Ryan Tunnicliffe, youth team captain, ever wondered what roy keane & gerrard would play like if they fused lol. This guy is a f*ck*ng monster, box to box, defending, creating, he does it all. Most of all he is a clear leader who HATES to lose. Ive never seen him play badly yet

Van Velzen, plucked from holland, hasnt showed the heights of his youtube compilation yet but when pogba and will keane are the on the pitch this guy is the only other player on their level technique wise

John Cofie, a striker, and out of the class below welbeck n machedas age group, (excluding paul pogba aswell, because you just have too) the player Fergie rates the most and the top scorer this season

honourable mentions to other consistent performers this season, Larnell Cole, Brady, Cory Evans, Massaci, Vermijl & Blackett have impressed

Nev: Rafael can take my place, the handing over of the famous no.2 shirt

Gary Neville is backing Rafael to be his long-term successor in United's defence.

Neville announced his retirement last week after an illustrious career spanning two decades. After breaking into the team in the mid '90s, the former England international became his generation's best right-back. But Neville feels United have already found the man to fill his boots.

"He’s more than capable of going on to become United’s right-back for many, many years," Neville told ManUtd.com. "His performances in the last six months in particular have been brilliant. He’s matured and really come of age. I remember when I was young defender you need that time to mature and get experience.

"Rafael’s always had ability - he gets to the ball quickly, he’s aggressive, he defends his position well, he’s tough, courageous, good on the ball and provides energy in attack, but he’s really developed in the last six months with games and experience. He has a great attitude too."

Such has been Rafael's progress this season, Neville feels the Reds have a stable back four. "We haven’t had a consistent right-back in the last couple of years," he adds. "I’ve been around and Wes and Sheasy have played some games as well as Rafael, but in the last four or five months we’ve had a consistent performer in that position. Now you can say we’ve got a first-choice back four for the first time in a few years with Rafael, Rio, Vida and Patrice, who are all quality players. That’s important to a team."

Possebon didn't pull up any trees@Braga.

He is at Santos I last heard but he did look elegant and had something about him.

Gibson could be as good as Lampard he just needs to leave Man Utd.

They have the same traits

Stamina,great shooting ability.

Can't play in a two and seem to go missing a lot of the time.

I said Lampard not Gerrard or Scholes but Lampard.

You don't explain your reasons.

Is it because you think Lampard's level is too high for Gibson or is it because Gibson will exceed Lampard?
