Arsenal ran out of gas due to not being used to pressing aggressively and playing with such a high tempo as they started which gave us more time on the ball.

Needing to win the game has nothing to do with it. If that was the case why did we lose midfield battles and why was our ball retention poor against teams like Madrid, City, Chelsea and Spurs just to name a few? I sure we needed to win those games.

Ran out of gas? lol it was only really the first half hour or so that wewe dominated

My argument is about Arsenal. Madrid and arguably Citeh are just better teams than you. Wouldn't say you were dominated by the other two

My argument is about the battle in midfield. The trio of Carrick, Jones and Rooney didn't come out on top against Arteta, Ramsey and Rosicky(surely you can see that) and that trio would lose similar battles against the top teams in Europe. Also the other central midfield combinations that Bane listed earlier that included Scholes and Giggs would get overrun and lose too

Carrick, Giggs and Rooney lost the midfield battle vs Barry, Yaya and Silva

Now against Alonso, Khedira and Ozil we lost that battle in 1st leg with Carrick, Jones and Kagawa but it was no surprise that we improved in the 2nd leg cause with an injured Jones out of the squad we was able to play Carrick, Cleverley and Welbeck.

Don't know why you just saw the name Arsenal mentioned and decided to take this discussion to a next place, smh.

Manchester United posted a record third-quarter turnover of £91.7million in figures released to the New York Stock Exchange today.

United also outlined an increase of 52.2 per cent in sponsorship revenue and have adjusted expectations of overall annual income to £360million.

United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward said: "Each of our three primary sectors - commercial, broadcasting and matchday - delivered strong top-line gains and helped us achieve a record third quarter for both revenue and adjusted EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization)."

A rise of 31.9 per cent on the corresponding three months last year means overall commercial income has gone up by 27.9 per cent to £114.5 million over the full nine-month period.

The broadcast and matchday sectors show a 21.7 per cent and 34 per cent increase on the corresponding three months respectively.

Gross debt stands at £367.6 million, which while still a vast sum, represents a decrease of 15.9 per cent since June 30 last year.

However, total operating expenses for the third quarter increased 18.6 per cent year-on-year to £79million.

Wages have also risen 25.1 per cent to £44.9 million due to the impact of new signings - including Robin van Persie and Shinji Kagawa - renegotiated contracts and the growth of United's commercial team, which also has a base in Hong Kong.

United, whose overall staff numbers now top 800, have additional plans to open a commercial office in the US.

Following on from the deals involving AON and Chevrolet, they are looking to tap into the market of US firms eager to make an impact in the Far East, where so much of their overseas support is based.

The latest figures do not take into account the £120 million, eight-year deal with AON, which includes naming rights to their Carrington training complex and sponsorship of their training kit and overseas tours.

It was also confirmed that completing the 100 per cent purchase of the club's own TV channel, MUTV, cost United £2.7 million.

If the game meant anything to us Fergie would've hopefully started Kagawa on the wing and would've trusted Welbeck to close down Arteta instead of Rooney. Jones would've still played because he's doing a good job of tr0lling Fergie right now but the right move would've been to play Clevz or Anderson instead.

With the starting 11 we used it would've been the same story and our midfield would've still got overrun.

The relevance of the 3pts wouldn't have suddenly made Jones and Rooney look like a young Iniesta and Xavi in possession.

Clevs or Anderson aint good enough

You was only overrun for half an hour FFS.

As a team you are on a different level to us so I find your comments pretty stupid

Stop being a clueless doughnut

It's as simple as this

With Cleverley on the pitch there would have been more moves like this

But with Jones playing instead there wasn't and we struggled to pass our way through midfield

Having a few pieces of good play doesn't mean that Carrick, Jones and Rooney as a collective performed better than Arteta, Ramsey and Rosicky in that match.

If you really think our 3 players played better that day and controlled the midfield better than your 3 players you just don't get it and you never will so let's just end this 6 day back and forth right now cause you're still chatting shit and you're not really learning anything so I'm wasting my time.
