Horatio Caine
at times he moves a lil too much, his distribution is good tho. // welbeck needs to be benched, misses too much chances, give hernandez a run, hernandez all round game has improved so much
O Fenomeno
Hernandez for Welbeck? @Hernandez all round game improving at all He just a poacher with pace who adds nothing to your team if he isn't scoring
Horatio Caine
his all round game has improved, as usual u talk sh*t,nothing new welbeck has been poor recently, frustrating at times.

However I'd substitute the word pace for good movement.
Horatio Caine
he never did stuff like this in his first season, his game is improving,he also has a nice crossing ability,
O Fenomeno
One good cross in the Captial One Cup means nothing. His link up play is bad and still runs offside blindly even though like M12 pointed out correctly he has good movement I rather have a player like Welbeck who hardly scores but is such a great outlet and has a very good touch than a player who scores and when he doesn't then your basically playing with ten men. It's like asking who do you prefer Weah or Inzaghi / Talking sh*t? Says the guy who is convinced Vincent Kompany is the best CB in world football But that's a discussion for another thread
stacksbranning
Hernandez does need a run of games tbh . Its hardly going to affect the team drastically if he comes in for wellbeck or not
Horatio Caine
im highlighting his all round game, thats one of many, he now knows the right passes to play, hes improving welbeck works hard, runs the channels etc etc, his finishing is off key, his recent form has bin sh*t kompany is ah boss, better defender than luiz aka "i cant concentrate for 90 minz".... im sure hernandez is playing tonight... O Fenomeno
Maybe Hernandez is improving but Welbeck is years ahead of him in terms of talent. If Welbeck adds finishing and keeps his excellent all round game then Sir Alex should cut his losses with Hernandez and sell him to Atletico Madrid IMO
Agony
I've never been a fan of Hernandez's all round game but to be fair it has improved a bit since he's joined But not enough to start him ahead of Welbeck / Hopefully we use the diamond formation for both games this week and Giggs and Scholes are nowhere near the starting
Horatio Caine
i wouldnt say years ahead of him, i dont think welbeck will become a 20+ goal a season player, you could say his all round game doesn't allow him to, SAF will rotate like crazy this season, i think if hernandez gets his chance he will be more useful this season... Guest M12
Welbecks finishing ain't that bad tbh. People are going on like he can't finish his dinner. He's scored 3 in his last 2 games. His problem is he will miss what most people see as easy chances. But will score the difficult ones. At the moment he's a scorer of great goals but not a great goal scorer. Rooney was the same and had the same criticism until that season where he scored bare headers and tap ins. Used to get hammered about going on short scoring runs followed by long goal droughts. / Tbh though speaking about united up front is the least of our worries. The main ones are how woeful we are at defending especially set pieces. And how our style of play is so engrained in some players. Look wide/look for Rooney isn't going to cut it for every game. HangTheDJ
I like Welbeck... But he's English and at Man Utd. If he's not hitting good figures people will get on his back.
Kompressor
Where I do think Hernandez has improved his all round game when compared to his 1st season, I've got to say as Danny Welbeck is one of the only reasons I bother watching United live anymore to drop him would IMO not be good, However Champions league group match against Braga give Hernandez the game he's a valuable player, keeping him happy is important, at Welbeck's expense? I'd rather Chica stay on the bench. They both have a role, but I know who I'd rather keep happy long-term.
Guest M12
Thats why I think tonight's team selection is massive. I'll be happy if welbeck, Kagawa, scholes and cleverley all play minor roles tonight, as it will most probably mean they are starting Sunday. The King
Bill Edgar Last updated October 24 2012 1:01AM Gill works with Ferguson on the transfer targets Martin Rickett/PA Manchester United expressed concern yesterday at their falling share price but remain buoyant over their “very strong financial position”. The club’s shares were trading on the New York Stock Exchange yesterday at $12.24 (about £7.67) each, down from $14 at the flotation in August, thus valuing the club at about $2.05 billion (£1.3 billion). “In terms of the share price, none of us are looking at it on a daily or weekly basis,” Ed Woodward, the executive vice-chairman, said. “[We are] concerned about it, but we want to make sure we continue to deliver what we said we would as a growth company to our investors. “That means focusing on what’s going on here [united’s commercial operation base in London], but also communicating that to investors. I’m sure I’ll be in the United States soon talking to investors and analysts, continuing to get that message across.” The flotation raised about £145 million, half of which went to the Glazer family, the owners, and half to pay off some of the club’s debt, which stands at £360 million. “It is a small amount of debt compared with the size of the business,” Woodward said. “The servicing costs, relative to the profits, are going down, so we’re very comfortable with the size of it today. The business is in a very strong financial position.” But Woodward claimed that the debt reduction would have no effect on United’s strength in the transfer market because it had never hindered them previously. “Nothing has changed now we are listed,” he said. “There is no budget as such. It’s always Sir Alex Ferguson and David Gill working on transfer targets, and what they perceive to be the right value. Probably people thought if Robin van Persie wanted to leave Arsenal, he would go to Manchester City or somewhere else, but we have the financial strength to buy him.” Many felt that the Glazers’ business model was unworkable when they became owners in 2005 but Woodward believes it has succeeded through the Americans’ understanding of how to exploit new markets. Annual commercial income has risen from about £50 million to nearly £120 million during their seven years in charge and the club believe that there is enormous scope for further improvement. United have identified almost 100 kinds of products with potential for sponsorship, many of them obscure. Manchester United motor scooters are sold in Thailand, while a company in Japan is the club’s official marine diesel engine partner. The club have also thrived by dividing deals for certain products into individual countries. Rather than earn perhaps £3 million from a global mobile phone partner, United have secured £21 million from separate arrangements in 44 countries. That principle will be taken further, with the club looking to break down deals into states within nations, such as the US.
Agony
Bruno Gomes interview We do not usually write articles in English, but as our site had many foreign visitors while the race for Lucas, we decided to translate this interview. I hope you enjoy. We talked to Bruno Gomes, Desportivo Brasil’s player who is being tested in Manchester United. The 16 year old striker, who is having his first contact with the club, has already good marks and was a authentic goal scorer wherever he played: top scorer for Palmeiras in the Paulista U-13, for São Carlos in Paulista Interclubes U-15 and in Copa Brasil Vorotantim (also U-15) for Corinthians. At DB, he has just been the top scorer of Paulista U-17 Paulista with 19 goals. Bruno spoke about his arrival at MUFC, his first contact with the squad and what he aims in the club. Check it out: How was your first meeting with Sir Alex Ferguson? It was nice. He is a myth in Manchester, where everybody respects him and to be close to him was great. In fact, he only asked about my position and if I spoke English. Then he talked with the club representative who led me to Manchester. Have you had any contact with the squad? Here we have breakfast and lunch along with thefirst team players. We also train in the same place, in separate fields, but we watch their training sessions from some distance. It was great to be at the same table as Giggs or Rooney, isn’t it? You can imagine how I felt! What did you think of Manchester? And about Carrington? The city is good, it has everything we need, looks a bit like São Paulo but in a smaller size. The Training Center is incredibly monstrous with wonderful fields, all perfect, giant gym, cafeteria for everyone. It is really big, fair to the extent of Manchester United. How does it feel to move from a small Brazilian club straight to Manchester United? Good, because when I left Corinthians I was already aware that the project was about going to United when I turned 18. How was your first practice? Did you feel the any difference in the game mode? The Manchester training sessions are very similar to the Desportivo Brasil ones, because the DB coaches do internships with us in Manchester due to the partnership, and also because the United’s representative workouts in Brazil giving us trainings from time to time. On twitter, many fans already gave you welcome. Does that give you more confidence on your arrival at MUFC? It is wonderful. I really wanted to be able to wear the Reds kit now! It’s great to see what the club means wordwide, I’m really happy. I hope to really be a United player soon, officially. What are your goals in the club? My goals are to be top scorer in the league, being the first Brazilian to do so, mainly to be English champion and to win the Champions League. This is my dream, hearing the crowd singing “Champeone, champeone, ole ole ole!”
