You've got a "massive" point there.

Alex Mcleish was on Talksport a couple weeks ago, saying that when he slod Foster to them he said that He'd be Englands 1st choice keeper by X-mas,

surely Mcleish is smart enough to relise that if Fergie really believed that he'd have kept the guy, but anyway.

i'm expecting him to wax lyrical about Diouf from now untill January when it'll be announced that his Loan deal to Blackburn will be made permanant.

Aye, he'll get £15million from McLeish, Fistface and Fat Sam for Foster, Wellbeck and Diouf.

That is if Wellbeck and Diouf prove they ain't Man Utd class.

Just like he did with O'Leary with Djemba Djemba, Keane with Richardson/Bardsley, Campbell with Bruce and Spector with Curbs.

As soon as someones got the Fergie seal of approval one of his disciples will sign 'em for big money.

No doubt the same will happen with Smalling, Evans, Cleverly and Bebe etc if they don't make it either.

Am I the only one slightly worried about Scholes and Giggseys dominance so far, in terms of carrick, Anderson and our younger players.

The difference in quality is something we will miss unless Fergie fixes up in the T.Market.

LOL i've been saying the same thing ever since Ronaldo made it clear he wanted out,

we shouldve replaced his influence and contribution before if not straight after he left,

but Fergie's always been a little slow on the uptake when it comes to replacing players,

the Big danish bloke

Roy Keane

Eric Cantona

and wee will experience similar things when Giggs and Scholes pack it in within a year of each other

and Van der Sar leaves shortly after or maybe even before without anu obvious replacements at hand,

it wouldnt bother me but after the The big Danish bloke debarcle the man refused to ever make the mistake again, and low and behold he did it with Roy Keane too, who he also tried to squeze the last reminences of quality out of before he lost his top and was pushed out of the club.

the 3 present players i mentioned will also be missed in the dresing room in terms of leadership and experience aswell. But hey lets take a leaf out of Redcafe and bury our heads in the sand about these glaring signs of the future,

I'm also Happy to see that Fergies ridiculous power over the masses at OT hasn't dwindled despite his obvious signs of demetia.

He came out and said pipe down with your green and cold nonsence and the masses who were in such an uproar are back in red black and white,

the tiny vocal minority are still doing their best to get the chants started up but i fear they will fall away soon also

saying that i've got to admit those guys wearing green and gold would look f*ck*ng stupid turning up at the ticket offices pre-season to collect their season tickets for the new season clad in green and gold, so in one aspect i respect their decision to just ditch the colours and go back to blindly following the team,

slightly dissapointed but not at all suprised.

these guys showed their asses in 2005 and continue to do so,

however expect another uprising if Scunthorpe beat us in the league cup, or we get beat by a lower league team in an embaressing cup defeat.

Sir Alex Ferguson is yet to decide whether to hand midfielder Owen Hargreaves a spot in Manchester United's 25-man squad.

The squad lists must be submitted by all Premier League clubs before 5pm on Wednesday, the day after the transfer deadline, with no changes allowed until the next transfer window opens in January.

The new concept has provoked widespread disquiet within the English game, with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger in particular protesting against the move.

United boss Ferguson, however, feels the new rule is a good thing, but admits it has caused him a selection headache as Hargreaves struggles to recover from a major knee injury.

"I only have one issue really - whether I can afford to allot one of the 25 places to Owen Hargreaves as he continues to battle for full fitness," Ferguson told United Review.

Basically Hargreaves to retire from football in October/November after being left out the squad and get a coaching role

even if Hargreaves did regain fitness, he should only be considered for the odd FA cup game and CC game anyway, This is not really a story, he wont be named, unless of course a couple more players go out on season long loans,

With all due respect to a player who i rate very highly, i've probabl gotta say theres no way Hargreaves should be consideered for the squad.

Saying that though if he was, it'd give the numpties on Redcafe somthing to look forward to, as Fergie would describe it as a new signing after telling us confidently, he'll be back in 2 weeks, which will then lead to 6 weeks, and we dont know then a unfortunate retirement.

Not sure about Hargreaves as a coach though, we cant just be giving out coaching roles for sentiment, eventually we'll run out of spots to fill. we have at least 2 of the playing staff currently who have coaching roles to step into possibly when the hang up their boots,

Giggs and Van der sar,

Think Hargreaves should go and be a confidence boosting coach for England to get the players into the mindset of playing in big games properly, whilst doing a bit of penalty taking coaching.

Hargreaves would be a good set piece coach IMO

From interviews he seems to have a good opinion on the game as well

But even if fit he is not first choice for us and wasn't before his injuries he was playing at RB and sometimes DM in the big games when we went 4-5-1

Now he would be behind Scholes, Fletcher, Giggs, Carrick, Anderson and just above Gibson

/

If Nzogbia stays at Wigan then surely Cleverley will be off to Bolton?

Annoyed that he is going though Fergie must think Scholes and Giggs are still mid 20s and can play all season just because they quit international football they will get fatigued and we wil get injuries and players will lose form then Oshea and Corry Evans will be our midfield

Rumour would have it…

- Just like RoM revealed this time last year, Nemanja Vidic’s wife doesn’t give off an ‘unhappy’ persona at all. She was at Old Trafford yesterday and was laughing at Vidic’s chant, which was sung repeatedly.

- The change in Nani’s attitude has been very noticeable at Carrington and there were hopes that Anderson would follow suit. Unfortunately, this hasn’t been the case. He reminds a few of Dwight Yorke. New signing Bebe has latched on to Anderson and there are concerns about what impact his influence might have. They have their eye on this one.

- Edwin Van der Sar is very appreciative of his life and situation in Manchester since his wife’s illness. His kids are settled in school and his life has been put in to perspective. He thinks the club treated him brilliantly and were so supportive during that difficult time, so he really is keen to pay the club back however he can.

- Berbatov was a bit of a loner this time last season but is a lot more settled. His best mate at the club is Edwin but he gets along with everyone.

- After attending Chester Races, John O’Shea, Jonny Evans and Owen Hargreaves went out for a bite to eat at Players in Hale Barns. The all important City vs Spurs game was on the TV screens and there were quite a lot of blues in. Without wanting to draw attention to themselves by jumping up, all three players were beaming when Peter Crouch scored the winner, with O’Shea clenching his fists under the table.

- There were questions asked of Jonny Evans’ attitude at one point, with him liking the booze and getting a bit too big for his boots (I can only assume this is around the time he had returned from Sunderland on loan after being well-loved and was seeking a permanent move there for first team football). Someone on the staff had a word with his dad, letting him know that Evans’ attitude had been noted, and since then, he’s gone from strength to strength.
