ChelseaBallack,Essien,Makelele,Mikel,LampardHeavyweight midfield tbh.Ballack is such a f*ck*ng baller.Watch him drive Chelsea next year if Lampard leaves. He passes where Lampard shoots. Guy is f*ck*ng sick.
Co siggidy.Tekkers is too too much.Left peg better than 90% of players strong foot.So sick. Pissed we never signed him.Best free transfer for years. Favourite Chelsea player. So underrated. When lampard was injured he was aboslutely destoying it.Sick bredda

MON proving his class once again. We may lose Barry, that will be his decision, but we dont have to cave in to bullyboy tactics from so-called bigger clubs.Shankly would be spinning in his grave at the way Liverpool are conducting themselves these days.
So true.
tbh if they get 15 million it aint the end of the world for villahes not irreplacable
We could get someone better, but it aint all about ability. He IS Aston Villa. He embodies everything we represent, he's our captain and role model to other players. He makes us tick, he has a brilliant football brain and he keeps everything going. He does lack some things technically, but he is our engine, and you cant buy things like that... it takes time.I'm not saying we won't be succesfull without him, but it would be impossible to buy what he has at Aston Villa... much like Liverpool could never replace Steven Gerrard... or United could never replace Keane, and to a lesser extent Arsenal not replacing Vieria.

i see it as barry would be an upgrade on riise he's a better left back+left midfielderwho can also play centre mid,so he's more versatilethe question is do liverpool have the money to be buying squad players before improving their genuine starting 11i don't mean it as barry is gunna be a bench boy but he's not of the quality where i can see him starting nearly every game if he's fitlike torres, gerrard, mascherano, carragher etc& IMO he's not the guy to hold down their left wing slot in the 4-2-3-1 formationi think he should stay at villa really

barry aint playing wide in midfield in that formation they got now, can only do it in a 4-4-2.im hoping benitez wants him as a predominant left back, cos if he does, barry aint going no chancehed not get near the england team playing left back every week.

He's sick.Took time to get adapted to his new defensive role, then started doing well in that. And now he's been moved slightly wider with petrov sitting and he's doing really well in that. He's one of our better players, but doesn't seem to be getting the credit.Untill the last few weeks he'd been having a much better season than Barry.

Quote Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso says he has no intention of leaving the club following The Champions League exit against Chelsea. The Spaniard had his sights set on a place in the Moscow final but Chelsea finally undid the Liverpool hoodoo to dump out the five-time champions of Europe. The unrest in the Anfield boardroom has put the future of manager Rafa Benitez in doubt and rumours have linked Alonso with a move. “My future is with Liverpool because I signed a contract. There are many rumours but I do not pay attention to them,” Alonso said. “We are proud of what we have done in the Champions League and we are behind Benitez in the dressing room. I hope to play in more Champions League finals in my career. “This defeat has hurt us a great deal but we have to show our professionalism and get on with the rest of the season.”
Looks like Alonso is staying which is good news.I can only see Barry being brought in to play Lb if he comes in.
