ronaldo > zidanezidane aint even better then platiniRonaldo is the only player of our generation that can score a goal on his ownZidane needed movement around him

I know, thats who i ment. CR7im gonna word it different in abit-----edited my original post.
I think Romario was a better finisher than Ronaldo, but in terms of all round play and effectiveness it isn't even a question. As for Platini & Zidane its difficult to compare but when you watch those old videos of Platini it almost feels as if he's playing against man who are handicapped. But then again Zidane was similar, I've never seen a man play ball to his level without changing his facial expression or looking so uninterested.

Obviously Ronaldo will be better at scoring goals, he is a striker
Ronaldo's the best player I've ever seen...If he comes to the premiership then me = watching football again tbhZidane and Ronaldo are two different players. No point comparing...I always felt Zizou was a little overrated, but he was still great. Ronaldo at his finest was the greatest player the world's seen. The man was sheer genius. He was DYNAMIC and his strike rate was a goal a game. No one I've seen can match that.

In terms of genius, Zidane>>>>>>>>R9, no contest. But that goes without saying TBH....
Zidane was more of a thinker, yes. Ronaldo just did what he did, but executed it in the fashion that only a genius can...They're both geniuses or genii...whichever you prefer.
All depends on what you prefer watching...R9 in terms of sheer skill, tekkers & explosiveness>>>>>>>>>>>>Watching Zidane was like watching Michaelango paint the Cistern chapel...

The Sistine Chapel...and I agree. But watching Ronaldo at his peak was like watching Queen at Live Aid in 1985...sheer dynamic, powerful brilliance.
Yeah two different types of players but both brilliant at their best.Zidanes brilliance was largely down to how composed he was on the ball. Its so rare to see a player with so much skill but not using it in the same all out attack kind of style. his style of play just looked like he was thinking 'your not on my level'. His vision was insane aswell, just watching video of him playing his play was so simple at times but its like no-one else would think to do that in the given situation. imo when you hear commentators and fans talk about a player pulling the strings and controlling the tempo of the game zidanes play sums up alot of what that means. Ronaldo obviously a different type of player. the appeal was the fact it was like he was untouchable. he got to the level of once he got the ball you came to expect brilliance and a goal at the end of it. everyone when their a kid loves the goalscorers the most. im 19 and everyone around my kinda age group loved ronaldo back in school days. his goalscoring talent was crazy, he wasnt the best finisher in the world but you knew he would score goals no matter what and the way he did it was incredible at times. defenders just got brushed off like it was nothing and his level of skill was funny at times the way defenders got left on the floor scrapping in packs to get the ball from him. As much bad press as he got for his weight problems etc, he is a footballing great. then theres the new generation, who knows who will get to the levels if any, of those players. people like messi etc could but it depends on them really.

The way Zidane played seemed so effortless...Like, he could play better if he wanted.
