^^^about people bitch too much.the fact is it's harder to use now and the functions are fussy.that's why there's hoards of people online complaining about it (google new facebook).if it's not broke don't fix it.the one thing i do like about it is that i can finally 'ignore' thousands of applications, games and what not i got sent in one go.
People complain about change in all paths of life, you're used to something and you don't feel you should do the exact same task another way. Its natural.Thats a ridiculous statement to make. That theory has no relevance here whatsoever. ITS TECHNOLOGY SUNSHINE! If everybody followed that theory we wouldn't have developed technologically in any way shape or form.Besides who told you it wasn't "broke"...To be quite honest it wasn't perfect in the flippin' 1st place. In terms of usability and accessibility the site would've flopped at the 1st hurdle, which is why they worked so hard making sure that m.facebook.com complied with usability heuristics.Technology changes all the time. Contrary to belief the old facebook was not up to usability standards. This was rectified in the new website, which still isn't perfect. What specifically is hard to use anyway? The groups bitching about it are wasting their time. If they wanted to run both sites side-by-side they could but that won't benefit them....unless its for publicity, which may possibly occur in the future if a red-top paper runs with the story in the not so distant future. Personally I think its minor. stop bitching and get with the times.
regardless if it's technology or not my statement is relevant.all they needed to do was improve on the existing template not change the template and then add new features.myspace did the same thing 4-6 months ago and that flopped horribly. they then reverted back to the 'old' design but improved it's features. then roll on 3 months back they made it look better; by that time the users was reseptive to 'change' that you keep harping on about.but changing the whole look of it, how things are displayed and all that nonsense is just fussy. trust me.you can improve something without tearing it to pieces and starting again.
