No but thats my 1st plan for next time I go out. I only got 10 days in Vietnam so missed the whole middle of the country, so next time im gonna start in Laos/Cambodia then take the bout the South Vietnam and then do a 2 week tour up the whole country.

Hong Kong is amazing. Would highly recommend. Loads of sights to see. Brilliant underground system. Not especially cheap though.

Want to go back there soon, where did you end up?

ChungKing mansions in Kowloon. Right at bottom end of Nathan Rd, near the bay.

rah might have to jump on that still

where did you book it from

and does the hotel have wifi

said in reception that the hotel had Free wifi, didn't use it though.

i think it's because the hotel is quite new so it hasn't got many ratings yet and will prob rise in price over the next few years.

Thomas cook

nice nice

I have posted information a while back regarding both hotels and apartment advice ( I think I did anyway...)

I'll have a scroll through and repost it for you or just supply you with the information but I really do advise getting a apartment!!!

Btw have you booked flights? Who you flying with and price?

----------------------------------------------------------------

Also, you lot, don't forget to state airlines or websites you have gotten price quotes from etc etc or the thread will turn into bare confusion and endless quotes asking the same question!

New York for your birthday would be sick. Will be hot out there and should be stuff going on. Want to get out there again.

Off to Ghana for a month on Thursday. Didn't really want to go out there for that long but it's been booked so might as well try to enjoy it as much as I can.

Im thinking bout going there for 5/6 weeks next summer along with Sri Lanka & Nepal and was just wondering if anyone had been, whether they'd recommend etc.

I'd definately recommend, I have family there but have also travelled alot of other places within the country.

Long for the life story so tell me on places you're interested in and I will come with the information/what I have heard as I know many people who have travelled all over.

India is an extremely intense country, not for the faint hearted/any pussyole and most importantly you need an open mind and have NO expectations ( or not too many at least). I

It can be hard there at first but you will end your journey loving the people and country as most people do.

been to Kerala - one of the most beautiful places i've ever seen, tropical climate so the scenery's on point, for a touristy area its not overly packed with tourists, locals are very hospitable and most speak english, the main things to are do go on boat rides visit the tea plantations/ mountains, beaches, temples and churches, wildlife sanctuaries, however there's NO NIGHTLIFE so u may not last much longer than a week. heard Goa's the one as well but never been. would love to see the taj mahal at some point in my life, probably wont happen.

Safe both of you. I'm still just thinking about it but I'll let you know if I need more info. Trying to get my bredrin (who's half Kenyan half Indian) to come cos I think I'd prefer to go with someone who knows the country although I wouldn't be against the idea of going on my own, people have recommended not to.
