Ronaldo ain't going nowhere but this story still doing the rounds.Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness has revealed Manchester United have made a 'non-concrete' enquiry for Franck Ribery.United are among several clubs to have been linked with a bid for Ribery, who still has two years to run on his contract.Spanish rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid are also rumoured to be keen to sign the France international, although Bayern are confident of keeping hold of the winger.Reports have claimed that United would look to bring Ribery to Old Trafford in the summer, if Cristiano Ronaldo moves to Real.Hoeness has confirmed United's interest in Ribery hinges on Ronaldo's future, but would want more than the 40million euros being quoted."I would really not even answer the phone if the amount would just be £34m," Hoeness told Sport-Bild."There was a casual request from Man Utd. But then it depends on Cristiano Ronaldo."Hoeness has also been critical of the work ethic of Bastian Schweinsteiger, suggesting the midfielder needs to consider if he wants to stay at Bayern. He added: "You have to confront him with the question of if he wants to continue to be just one of the boys, if the performances he has showed this term are really what he wants it to be in our team."The performances of a couple of players are not like their contracts. We will have to think about the roughness of a potential cut inside the squad."

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Desire Is To Join Real Madrid - ReportJust when you thought the CR7 transfer saga was dead and buried, it has now crept back up to life and it has become more intense than ever…The Cristiano Ronaldo-Real Madrid soap opera had looked all but over several weeks ago when the player declared that he would remain at Old Trafford, while the Spanish giant’s president-elect, Florentino Perez, hinted that he would tear up any pre-contractual agreement to sign the winger. But following a chain of events over the past few weeks, which culminated in Manchester United’s 2-0 defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League final on Wednesday, there are now reports that the Portuguese has reignited his interest to leave for the Santiago Bernabeu.Sky Sports’ Spanish football expert Guillem Balague is convinced that Ronaldo wants to join los Blancos, especially after the player told journalists during the post-match interviews in Rome that he is uncertain about his United future.“I do not know if you saw it on TV, but [sir Alex] Ferguson flew off the handle 20 minutes from the end of the game when Cristiano tried to level the match all on his own, abused the step-over when he faced [Carles] Puyol and Xavi, and when he saw his manager infuriated, he disappeared,” Balague wrote in AS.“He is a player who needs the right affection and this is the second time in as many weeks that there has been an emotional breakdown between the two on the field.“But when he said he does not know where he will play next season, he was right because he doesn’t know if Florentino will try and obtain him from United.“There are more urgent objectives that will give the impression of authority that Florentino wants to impose from day one, so Ronaldo’s desire to join Madrid (which no-one doubts) may not be enough.”The breakdown in relationship between CR7 and Ferguson is eerily similar to other previous star players, such as Jaap Stam, David Beckham and Ruud van Nistelrooy, who also had a rift with the gaffer and ended up unceremoniously leaving Old Trafford.
Tevez, Nani, Park & Kuszczak Heading For Manchester United Exit – ReportThe Red Devils are planning an overhaul of their squad this summer following the Champions League defeat to Barcelona...According to a report in the British tabloid The Daily Mirror, several Manchester United first-team players could be on their way out of the club during the close season.Apparently, manager Sir Alex Ferguson has decided his squad needs an overhaul following the comprehensive 2-0 defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League final. It is claimed that the Red Devils will not exercise the option to sign Carlos Tevez for £25.5 million unless the fee is lowered to £18m, which means that the Argentina international could end up playing for one of their Premier League rivals next season.South Korea international midfielder Park Ji-Sung and Portugal international winger Nani could also be heading for the exit doors at Old Trafford.Wigan Athletic's Ecuador international midfielder Antonio Valencia is said to be a candidate to replace the latter pair, with a £15 million transfer being mooted.Meanwhile, British tabloid The Daily Express alleges that United will make a move for Lyon's France international striker Karim Benzema, who has also been linked with Chelsea, as a replacement for Tevez.Goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak, who is a Poland international, is also likely to leave as Ferguson sees Ben Foster as a long-term successor to Edwin van der Sar.
big changes expected at utd, squad needs freshening up.they need to hurry up and sell ronaldo, just so this story goes away.

Bordeaux sign Gourcuff from AC MilanBordeaux has signed Yoann Gourcuff from AC Milan on a four-year contract.Gourcuff arrived at Bordeaux on a season-long loan from the Italian team, but Bordeaux took up the option they had to sign him on a permanent basis."I am very happy to continue the adventure I've started with Bordeaux," Gourcuff said on the club's website today. "My decision to sign with Bordeaux was taken over the course of the season."Gourcuff has scored 12 league goals this season to lead Bordeaux to the brink of their first title since 1999. They only need to avoid a defeat at Caen in Saturday's final round of matches to win the league. When Milan loaned Gourcuff in June, they gave Bordeaux the option of buying the 22-year-old for €15m as he was not included in Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti's long-term plans.Bordeaux coach Laurent Blanc made signing Gourcuff his priority, and signed a new deal himself to remain at the club in order to persuade the player to stay with him."I am the most happy of presidents tonight," Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud said. "We are all delighted that we can count on this player of great talent."Gourcuff was named the French league's Player of the Year by his fellow professionals on Sunday. He is also now a regular in the French national team, scoring a stunning goal to salvage a point in a 2-2 draw at Romania in a 2010 World Cup qualifying match in October 2008.Gourcuff won Sunday's award ahead of Lille midfielder Michel Bastos, Toulouse striker Andre-Pierre Gignac — the league's top scorer with 24 goals — and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Stephane Sessegnon.Bordeaux have won 10 straight league matches to lead Marseille by three points heading into Saturday's final round. Gourcuff has scored several late goals in Bordeaux's title charge, and set up many more for striker Marouane Chamakh. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/footbal...an-1692338.html---------------------------very good signing if true

Florentino Pérez has added to the air of uncertainty surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo's future at Old Trafford by refusing to rule out a move for the Manchester United forward and talking excitedly of the impact that the Portuguese might have at Real Madrid.Pérez, who is expected to return to his former post as president at the Bernabéu on Monday, alluded to the "agreement" between Madrid and Ronaldo that was revealed in the Guardian last month and spoke of "a spectacular project" that is likely to see Kaka and Franck Ribéry join the Spanish club this summer. It had initially been thought that the arrival of Kaka and Ribéry would end Madrid's interest in Ronaldo but it is understood that Pérez remains keen on signing the 24-year-old in what promises to be another summer-long saga that will no doubt exasperate everyone at Old Trafford."He's also a player that would be very good if he came to Real Madrid," said Pérez. "What I know is what I've read, that there is an agreement by means of which he would come for £80m..." Asked if he would pay that amount, Pérez said: "Next week we will look at the numbers and nobody should doubt that we are going to design with our sporting advisors a spectacular project."During his previous reign as president, between 2000 and 2006, Pérez sought to introduce one galáctico each summer but he indicated last week that this time he "will have to do in one year what would normally be done in three". The need to fast-track their recruitment programme means Madrid have drawn up an extravagant wish-list of targets and Ronaldo's name continues to feature prominently, with the mixed messages that player has given in recent days – he was evasive about his plans after the Champions League final defeat – further encouraging Pérez. There are, however, complications because it was the former Madrid president, Ramón Calderón, who brokered a deal with Ronaldo's representatives and he was ousted last month. The agreement will not be legally binding and in any case Pérez is understood to be eager to ensure he is not seen as effectively rubber-stamping a transfer negotiated by his predecessor. He will prioritise the signings of Kaka and Ribéry and look to revisit the Ronaldo deal later in the summer while also seeking to bring down United's asking price.Pérez, who claimed that "no decision" has been made with regard to identifying a new coach at Madrid, suggested that the Kaka deal would be more straightforward. "Until the competitions finish we are not going to talk with the clubs. But I've always spoken of my great relationship with [the Milan vice-president Adriano] Galliani and this relationship maybe makes it easier that Kaka comes to Madrid."http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/ma...nchester-united
