Spent thousands over the years going to see specialists (even flew to USA to see the worlds leading doctor on condition). Luckily with my condition there are some treatments that can work but is it really worth injecting my head with steroids just so I can get waves? (actually it probably is but the Visa Electron & MasterCard makes the pain go away).When I was out in America that doctor had just successfully tested growing human hair. Basically they plucked a healthy hair from someone’s scalp and grew 1000 new hairs from it. They then planted them back on the persons head using an ultra-fine needle. She said it would only be about 2 years before the procedure gets approved. If you have standard baldness (starts off at the top of head and forms in perfect circle) then your f*cked, your only hope is getting a hair transplant. If you got scarring alopecia like me then you can stop the disease spreading.There’s lack of information about alopecia in the UK, mainly because it's underfunded and 80% of men go into denial about it or are too shamed to go doctors. Also there are certain types of hair problems that mainly only affect black people so obviously most UK doctors dont have a clue.If anyone wants advice on where they can go, or have a "friend" they want to give advice to just holler at me through the PM's - I have mad info and can point you in the right direction.DISCLAIMER - thanks to the UK banks and certain cashiers that didnt ask too many questions that allowed me to spend ££££'s on treatments.
