on holiday I tend to just use mascara but it just melts, so next holiday Im thinking of getting extensions. Without mascara my eyes look too small. Also, I have really oily skin so on holiday what's the solution? no amount of liquid (not that I'd wear it on holiday) or powder will stay put.Infact forget it Ill go natural and oily. cooking in make up is horrible
Well this is my kinda thread! :D dunno if this has been mentioned, havnt read all of the thread yet, but will be back later with my input but in response to oily skin:after cleansing your face, if you apply some milk of magnesia (the thing you take wen you have a tummy ache) with a cotton pad before putting on your foundation you will find that your make up lasts longer and doesnt melt as rapid, its great for when you are in hot places (raves, holiday). It is good for the skin and helps against blemishes! i saw a remarkable diff once i started doing this.bio oil is also good for the skin, scars, blemishes, stretchmarks and makes it soft too :D sorry if these things were already mentioned..

Kaygee I need a real life friend like you seriously
c/s, i've learnt a lot from this thread and kaygee's blognot really to do with makeup, but if anyone suffers from dark circles i recommend Dr Nick Lowe's Dark Circles Correcting Cream. it's a bit pricey (£11 from boots) but definitely worth it, i have tried so many different eye creams and this is the only one that has actually made a noticeable difference. he does a really good on-the-spot blemish gel as well.
Thanks girls, I am a true geek I could talk about makeup and beauty all day.I'm also gonna try that eye cream because my circles are terrible and I'm yet to find anything that works even a little bit.

i'm the same, i'm actually considering having laser surgery after uni to get rid of them once and for all. i have tried absolutely everything, from home remedies to ordering a £100 "wonder cream" which did hardly anything. the nick lowe stuff is one of the best i've tried, along with another brand called eyliplex.. it's 2 eye creams in one; one to stop puffiness and the other to reduce dark circles. the dark circle cream contains haloxyl, which is the main ingredient of the £100 cream i bought. it's pretty good, but i'm still searching for something that will get rid of them completely.just wanted to add that the garnier eye roll advert that's on tv every 5 minutes is a LIE, it's absolutely crap for dark circles. it helps with puffy eyes if you keep it in the fridge, but that can be said for anything cold really.

Need to take a trip down to a department store and A. find out my actual skin type, although i'm sure its combination. B. find a good moisturiser and exfoliator and C. find the best make up for my skin type.Lol @ me forgetting all the beauty side of my qualifications, fully shows i'm a nail girl.

With regard to Coastal scents palettes I think ur only chance would be eBay or finding someone doing a blogsale. I just made one big order and paid the shipping, prob about £30 but that was for 24hour so I got it the day after. It's truly worth it.
i thought that might be the case, i probably will just go ahead and pay the shipping rather than try several different ones that dont cut it and then end up paying the shipping anyway, ive wanted one of these for ages they look amazing

Im so glad you said this i thought it must of been me!! So many people said to me u should get it its great and really works bla bla.. i brought two of those pieces of crap and i can honestly say i may aswell of used water. Surgery sounds good and i looked into it a while back but i think im just too scared to go ahead lol. Saying that its such a dramatic difference and once ive added up the amount of money i spend tryinga to disguise them it may be worth it.. ------------Queen Bee - The colour payoff is as good as MAC and lasts just as well, be sure to get the 88 Matte palette. The HD foundation is good aswell if your into that, tricky picking a colour tho.

Hi girls does anyone know where I can get my nails done in North/Central London for ideally less than £20?I just want some accrylics putting on quickly cause my nails are breaking my heart at the minute. Usually they are so long and I just paint them but they all keep snapping and splitting and they're ugly :(any suggestions on why this is and how to stop it would also be appreciated :D

Acrylics arent going to fix the problem, will make it worse for the 1st 2 weeks or so after taking them off.Do you use a base coat when applying nail polish? If the answer is yes then you need to take a break from apply polish and let your nails breathe. Does the world of good the same thing happened to me like 6 months back. Also, if your getting Acrylic done for the love of god do not let them come near you with an electric drill to blend in the tip with your natural nails. My soul weeps everytime I witness such things.

oh, and incase anyones interested, one beauty product i swear by is african black soap, i use it for loads of things, ive got fairly sensitive skin but surprisingly i use it as a facewash and ive never had any funny reaction to it, although i have to make sure i moisturise after using it because it really dries my skin out, its also really good if u get shaving rash ,apparently you can use it on your hair if you get dandruff aswell. just thought i would share that!
C/S amazing stuff.Where do you buy yours? I order a 10 oz block from Coastal Scents along with 1lb of the unrefined Shea butter. $8 for the soap and $8.49 for the butter.$29.00 for Fedex priority delivery (2days) or obviously if you are willing to wait its cheaper.

About every 2-3 weeks you will need refills. (which should be around £1 per lash)They are good if done right and at £80.00 they def should be. I loved the fact they looked so full and natural without any mascara and you really cant tell they just look like you was blessed with amazing lashes.
