The critically acclaimed and multi-award winning comedy series PhoneShop is returning to E4 with a 6 x 30 third series starting Thursday 25th July at 10pm.
With more pressure than ever to sell (and mis-sell), the staff of PhoneShop, Sutton need to be completely focussed and at the top of their game. Unfortunately, the combined distractions of bald patches, moustaches and baked goods mean that once again Ashley (Andrew Brooke), Christopher (Tom Bennett), Janine (Emma Fryer), Jerwayne (Javone Prince) and Lance (Martin Trenaman) find themselves utterly compromised and hopelessly out of their depth in the most familiar of territory - Sutton High Street.
PhoneShop is written, directed and produced by Phil Bowker (Sharon Horgan & Dennis Kelly’s Pulling, Sean Lock's 15 Storeys High) and features the hugely-talented ensemble core cast of Tom Bennett (Pulling), Andrew Brooke (Pulling, Dr Who), Emma Fryer (Home Time, Ideal), Javone Prince (Horrible Histories) and Martin Trenaman (The Inbetweeners).

EPISODE 1. BAKING BAD
Things are looking up for Lance: he’s found something very naughty in the shed, and, after years of waiting, he’s been admitted to the private member’s club of his dreams. Now all he needs to do is make it to the end of the day without anything going wrong. Oh…

EPISODE 2. NICK NACK PADDYWHACK
Ashley’s in the doghouse with Jerwayne after causing a girl-drought of epic proportions. Can Jerwayne get the interest of the Zara girls once again, or has Ashley wrecked their chances on the high street for good?

EPISODE 3. PAY AS YOU GROW
Christopher’s charitable concern raises Jerwayne and Ashley’s ire, Janine can’t stop making fantastic decisions and Lance is hiding from Shelley and her terrifying broodiness. Standard.

EPISODE 4. #goodtimes
As PhoneShop Sutton attempt to win The Golden Bowl insurance sales award for the sixth year in a row, and Janine attempts to stage the greatest, most elaborate sales evening of all time, all of Lance’s energy is going into getting Gregg Wallace to follow him on Twitter.

EPISODE . HAIR TODAY
As a new shop opens on the high street, Jerwayne and Ashley believe they’re witnessing the green shoots of recovery in their love life. Meanwhile Janine is making Lance look fabulous, and Christopher is… Hang on. Where is Christopher?

EPISODE 6. DO THE MUSIC
A chance encounter with a bully from his Sunday school days puts Jerwayne into a tailspin of doubt and self-denial that forces the whole PhoneShop team into a world of flash cars, posh boys and very dodgy videos.

there is a stigma of letting shows over run

No there isn't

Its a UK thing.

Firstly, far less financing available for shows in the UK than there is in the US (market size, ad revenue & overseas syndication) and secondly, UK shows tend to only have one-two writers whereas US shows, typically, have a team of writers. The former arguably creates more consistency and consolidates it into lesser episodes
