IMO considering Bendtner was injured at the start of the season & that van Persie for the most part has been fit, I think Wenger has offered him sufficent minutes. TF S4DK Posted May 14, 2011 Report Share Posted May 14, 2011 I think its a myth, I don't believe Wenger would ask them, especially not as a team, maybe a couple individually he might ask or they might suggest.I could see Parker being only said by Wilshere and van Persie.TBH I could see us being interested in a lot of ready made English players, but the sticking point will always be the fee... (And don't give me Frimpong please) Plus its (Premiership) experience something of which this team f*ck*ng needs. With Parker he has a lot of energy and gets stuck in, again something we have lacked, he made the wrong move going to Chelsea and Newcastle.Realistically we aren't signing massive superstars, the club doesn't have the financial backing, forking out £30 million for someone then add on top the wages they'll demand over x amount of years = a fair whack of our budget gone. Lets not even discuss the reported wages some of our lot do earn.The players being "asked" we won't know how true that is, was just hear say on an Arsenal podcast.
