The 24-year-old World Cup winner is continually linked with a move back to his boyhood club during every transfer window.Last summer, the Gunners rejected a £30million offer for their inspirational skipper. However, with Fabregas appearing more determined to rejoin the club he left as a teenager in 2003, Arsenal are said to be ready to allow the deal to go through, if Barcelona improve their £27million bid.BBC Sport quote a senior Arsenal official as saying: "The offer was made formally in writing to our chief executive (Ivan Gazidis), and we said no straight away."When asked if the club expected an improved offer this week, the source added: "Possibly yes, and if it's enough then I expect we'll have to sell."Last week, Barcelona president Sandro Rosell claimed the European champions would not break the bank for Fabregas, of whom he said: "It is clear that this year his value is less."During the 2010 summer transfer window, Arsenal released a statement confirming their captain was not for sale. However, so far, there has been no official comment from the Premier League club following renewed speculation over Fabregas' future.
The agent of Valencia playmaker Juan Mata has remained coy on the future of the 23-year-old following speculation over the youngster’s future. While revealing Mata was unaware of an offer from Arsenal the player’s representative and father insisted that they will look at proposals from potential suitors this summer.Mata was a key protagonist in the Spanish U-21 European Championship this summer and according to a report in the Daily Mail this morning is the subject of an £18m (€20.2m) offer from Arsenal.Liverpool are also rumoured to be interested in the player but speaking to Arseblog News Juan Mata Snr revealed he was unaware of an offer from Arsenal, but would not rule out a move this summer. He said, “We’ve just returned from the U21 championships and my son has gone on holidays. As of today we haven’t spoken to anybody.“I don’t know if Valencia have received a proposal from Arsenal or any other club. We will wait to hear from them”.Asked if Arsenal would be of interest to his son he said, “I know Arsenal is a big club, a very important club in England, always in the Champions League, but it’s up to any club to pay the required amount to Valencia. Then we can look at the proposals”.When asked the value Los Che have placed on the youngster he replied, “You would have to ask Valencia”.Spanish publication Sport claims the release clause for Mata is €20m.http://news.arseblog.com/index.php/2011/06/exclusive-agent-insists-mata-will-look-at-offers/
Arsenal are planning a possible move for Bayern Leverkusen midfielder Arturo Vidal, as Arsene Wenger looks towards a summer of rebuilding. With question marks surrounding the futures of club captain Cesc Fabregas and midfield maestro Samir Nasri, Wenger knows he needs to have players in mind should either of his players decide to leave. According to reports in German publication Bild, Wenger has identified a suitable replacement for either player in Vidal, who has garnered a great deal of interest around Europe. The 24-year-old looks to be on his way out of Leverkusen and with the Bundesliga side reluctant to sell to a league rival, the Chilean could well be on his way to north London. Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller referred to a rebuffed €10 million bid from AC Milan as 'insufficient', as the club hope to receive offers in the region of €15 million (£13 million). It appears as though Wenger is beginning to plan for his captain's exit, with suggestions that Fabregas could be on his way to Barcelona sooner rather than later for around €40 million. At €15 million, Vidal represents valuator money, and his european experience will aid Arsenal in the Champions League. Reports say that Wenger has been in contact with a number of Bundesliga coaches, as he attempts to compile a report on Vidal, who can play as either a defensive or more central midfielder.

The immediate future of Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin remains somewhat uncertain, with French side Lorient, with whom he spent the entirety of last season, hoping to retain his services next campaign.A concrete decision will not be made, however, until the culmination of his participation in the FIFA U20 World Cup, which takes place in Columbia and commences next month, with Coquelin’s France facing Columbia, South Korea and Mali in the group stage.Coquelin is due to return to London Colney for pre-season training, along with the club’s other professional players, a week tomorrow, but will see his preparations for the new campaign somewhat disrupted by his international commitments, although he could still feasibly feature in the club’s two Asian tour games against a Malaysian XI and local side Hangzhou Greentown next month.Since signing from Laval three summers ago, Coquelin has made quite an impression in North London, helping Arsenal’s under-18s attain a Premier Academy League and FA Youth Cup double in 2008/09, whilst also impressing on many occasions for the Reserves. He has been limited to just four first-team outings, although he did start the FA Cup defeat away to Stoke City two seasons ago.Arsene Wenger is thought to think highly of Coquelin, who has found his cause aided by the fact that fellow holding midfielder Craig Eastmond is likely to miss the beginning of pre-season due to injury, whilst Emmanuel Frimpong missed almost the entirety of the last campaign because of medial knee ligament damage. The decision as to whether Coquelin stays to contest for a place in the first-team squad at Arsenal, or returns on loan to Lorient for another season, will ultimately rest with Wenger, who will assess his options come the end of pre-season.
Arsenal’s professional players return to training a week on Monday and, for some of the individuals present, there will be an extra determination to impress.Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Craig Eastmond and Henri Lansbury all partook in the first-team squad photocall prior to the start of last season but, since then, they have not participated as much in Arsene Wenger’s plans as they may have previously anticipated, with all three players subsequently sent out on loan to nPower Championship clubs midway through last campaign in search of regular game time.Their respective loan spells unfolded with varying degrees of success; Lansbury played a key role in Norwich’s promotion to the Premier League, Eastmond showed some impressive signs before injury struck at Millwall, whilst Emmanuel-Thomas also shone in patches but his stint at Cardiff ultimately proved to be a frustrating and inconsistent one. Now, upon returning to Arsenal, they will seek to impose themselves on the first-team picture once more, knowing that, given they will all turn 21 at some point throughout the course of the campaign, 2011/12 could well prove to be a pivotal season as far as their Arsenal careers are concerned, with decisions eventually having to be made regarding their long-term futures at the club.Lansbury perhaps has the biggest chance, given his impressive spell with the Canaries, although much will depend on the futures of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri. Lansbury also has two rather formidable obstacles in his way in Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey but, should he impress sufficiently during pre-season, he could be retained in the squad for the duration of the campaign as cover.Emmanuel-Thomas, meanwhile, seems to have settled on an attacking role as his prominent position, operating either on the right-wing or as a central striker. He is likely to receive some opportunities to impress this pre-season, although the likelihood is that another loan spell will follow suit swiftly afterwards, as he remains a player who is clearly above Reserve level but currently unable to make a sustained mark in the professional game.Eastmond is likely to miss the beginning of pre-season as he is still recovering from an injury ascertained whilst on loan at Millwall but, once he is fit again, is also likely to be sent out on loan once more, although the impending departure of Denilson could possibly open a door of opportunity for the Wandsworth-born youngster. They are three of the most highly rated youngsters to have emerged from the Academy in recent years and they have made 21 appearances for the first-team between them, but there is a sense that this could be the season which will finally define whether Emmanuel-Thomas, Lansbury and Eastmond have an opportunity of ‘making it’ at Emirates Stadium.
Rangers manager Ally McCoist has revealed he would love to bring Kyle Bartley back to Ibrox but is waiting on Arsene Wenger to make a decision.Bartley spent the second half of last season on loan with Rangers from Arsenal and helped the club win the SPL title.McCoist was impressed by the contribution of the 20-year-old defender and hopes to agree another loan deal with the Gunners. However, Wenger has yet to make his mind up about whether Bartley will figure in his first-team plans at the Emirates Stadium next season.McCoist said: "It would be great to have him back."I spoke to Arsene Wenger and Arsene wants to have a good look at Kyle in pre-season before he makes any decision on anything."I can totally understand his view. He is absolutely, 100%, within his rights and I would do exactly the same. He doesn't need to look at his players just now."

Arsenal are ready to throw in the towel and sell Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona. The 24-year-old Gunners captain has already been omitted from all promotional material for the club's new away kit, which is launched today.A deal could be completed by this weekend, with a senior Arsenal official admitting that an improvement on last week's £27million bid will almost certainly be the tipping point. The official said: "The offer was made formally in writing to our chief executive, Ivan Gazidis, and we said no straight away. But on the subject of an anticipated new offer, he added: "If it's enough, I expect we'll have to sell."The Gunners want between £40m and £60m, but Fabregas could be released for £35m in a bid to put an end to a saga that has been rumbling for more than a year. Some Arsenal fans believe that would represent a PR disaster for a player widely regarded - despite the controversy - as one of the best midfielders in the world. The club, however, appear unwilling to let the situation affect preparations for the new season. As such, they are prepared to finally grant Fabregas his wish of returning to the club from which they nabbed him as a 16-year-old back in 2003.The Gunners remain incensed that Barca have used a wide range of tactics to unsettle their prize asset over the last 12 months and are driving a hard bargain.Yet Barca president Sandro Rosell has already claimed this summer that the Catalans will not pay over the odds.He said recently: "It is clear that this year his value is less."Read more: http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Arsenal-transfer-news-Cesc-Fabregas-could-join-Barcelona-by-weekend-after-being-left-out-of-promotional-photos-for-new-kit-launching-this-week-article753504.html#ixzz1QWH7bUIL Sign up for MirrorFootball's Morning Spy newsletter Register here
Pretty much everything we've read in the passed few hours and days.
Arsene Wenger is tracking Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal as doubts persist over the Arsenal futures of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri.Vidal, 24, currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen. He has been one of the Bundesliga's most consistent performers this season and ended the campaign with 10 goals.Rated at around £15million, he can also operate at full-back and has impressed with his versatility.Manchester City are also understood to have had the player watched, while AC Milan have had a £9m bid turned down.Barcelona are set to step up their £27m offer for Fabregas, while Manchester United and Bayern Munich are continuing to monitor the progress of talks between Arsenal and Nasri.Nasri has just a year left on his contract and Wenger has already declared that the French midfielder will not be allowed to go into the final year of his deal if he does not sign a new one.Elsewhere, Porto striker Hulk is believed to be more of a back-up option that a primary target for the Gunners. The 24-year-old hitman smashed 23 goals in 26 league games last season to spark interest from City, Spurs and Chelsea.Although he signed a new deal in May, committing himself to Porto until 2016, Hulk has since admitted he could be tempted by the right offer.Read more: http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Arsenal-transfer-news-Arturo-Vidal-Bayer-Leverkusen-15million-rated-attacking-midfielder-eyed-potential-replacement-Cesc-Fabregas-Samir-Nasri-article753323.html#ixzz1QWHZAG00 Sign up for MirrorFootball's Morning Spy newsletter Register here

ARSENAL have been told they must cough up at least £23million to land Valencia star Juan Mata. The Gunners were lining up an £18m bid with boss Arsene Wenger seemingly ready to embark on his much-talked about summer spending spree. But the Spanish outfit will hold firm for their most prized asset who signed a new four-year deal in January.A top Valencia source said: "There are specific clauses in Mata's contract and, unless a club is prepared to match those, there is no chance Mata would leave. The club do not want to sell the player."Mata last night insisted he had no intention of leaving Valencia. He said: "I want to win a trophy with Valencia next season. I've not planned anything different as I've a contract until 2015."SunSport understands if Valencia receive an offer of between £23m and £26.5m they have to either let Mata go or offer him a pay rise to keep hold of him, according to the terms in his contract. The Spain ace has had interest from Liverpool, Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter over the past year.Though he would welcome a move to Arsenal, he will not come cheap and Wenger will certainly have to smash the club's transfer record to land the Spain midfielder.Meanwhile, Karim Benzema - thought to be a possible star-signing to placate frustrated Gunners fans - has insisted he is staying at Real Madrid even if Kun Aguero or Neymar sign for the Spanish giants. He said: "I never saw myself leaving Real Madrid. I insist. Never. If I was afraid because of another striker coming I'd quit football."Wenger is also planning a £13.5million raid on Bayer Leverkusen for Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal.Read more: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3662977/Arsenal-must-paty-Valencia-at-least-23million-for-Juan-Mata.html#ixzz1QXs0bVUr
BARCELONA want Cesc Fabregas to go on strike next week to force a cut-price move from Arsenal. The Gunners face a nail-biting wait to see if their skipper turns up for the first day of pre-season training a week today.Barcelona have had a £27million bid turned down and are unlikely to meet Arsenal's £40m valuation. If Fabregas refuses to join up with his team-mates, it will put Arsenal under enormous pressure to finally sell to the Catalan giants.Although sources close to Fabregas say he has no intention of forcing an acrimonious exit from North London, it is clear that is precisely what Barca expect him to do.But such a move could backfire spectacularly if Arsenal hold firm.It will also shatter the image of loyalty Cesc has tried to cultivate despite publicly admitting he dreams of returning home to Barca.Arsenal insist they will let go of their talismanic captain only if Barcelona meet their demands. But Barca's £27m bid was instantly dismissed by chief executive Ivan Gazidis. The cash-strapped European champions are doing everything they can to get Arsenal to accept a cut-price switch for their wantaway skipper.Barca have already seen their £30m move for Udinese's Alexis Sanchez stall because Manchester City have offered the Italian outfit more money.Boss Pep Guardiola is keen to land Fabregas but Barca president Sandro Rosell is adamant they will not break the bank for their ex-youth player.Barca midfielder Sergio Busquets said: "Every year it's the same. This year he seems to be getting closer. I wish this year is the definitive one and we can have Cesc by our side."Read more: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3663130/Barcelona-put-pressure-on-Cesc-Fabregas-to-rebel-against-Arsenal.html#ixzz1QXsFpDAa
Barcelona are poised to return with an improved £35m offer for Cesc Fábregas and believe that sum will be enough to secure the Arsenal captain and end one of the modern game's longest-running transfer sagas. The European and Spanish champions have detected a softening in Arsenal's resolve over their talisman and they feel that, in contrast to last summer, when Arsène Wenger made it clear that he would not sell Fábregas at any price, the Gunners are now ready to do business.Fábregas, who is currently on holiday in Spain, wanted to move back to Barcelona, his former club, last summer and following another season at Arsenal that promised much but delivered nothing in terms of trophies his attitude has only hardened. He would prefer the deal to be done before he is due to report for pre-season training at Arsenal next Tuesday, meaning that he could remain in Spain. Arsenal depart for a mini-tour of Malaysia and China on Sunday week and it would not be difficult to imagine the sideshow if Fábregas were still the club captain and he made the trip. It could undermine the tour and its chief purpose, which is to promote the Arsenal brand.Barcelona had two bids for Fábregas turned down last summer – the second of ¤40m – while they have been back with £27m (about €30.2m) this summer, an offer which again was rejected. Barcelona have attempted to drive down the price claiming that, due to the amortisation of his contract, he ought to be worth less. That argument has been given short shrift at Arsenal; Fábregas, 24, is on a long-term contract until 2015.Yet there have been concerns at the club that they might be unable to deny Fábregas his dream move once again and that, if Barcelona could pay £40m, the money could be reinvested in Wenger's transfer targets. Barça hope that a compromise of £35m will enable the deal to be done.Barcelona, who are deeply in debt, have indicated a willingness to include fringe players in part-exchange for Fábregas but Wenger is not interested in any of them. He has his own list of targets and he appears to be ready to push the button on various deals. This will be a summer when Arsenal are proactive. The Lille and Ivory Coast striker Gervinho, who is valued at £10m, remains at the top of the list and Wenger also wants two centre-halves. He has a serious interest in Gary Cahill of Bolton Wanderers, Everton's Phil Jagielka and Chris Samba of Blackburn Rovers. In midfield his targets include the Argentinian Ricardo Alvarez from Velez Sarsfield and Juan Mata, the young Spain player at Valencia.http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/jun/28/cesc-fabregas-arsenal-barcelona-wenger

Arsenal have rejected a £10m bid from an unnamed Turkish club for midfielder Abou Diaby, according to Gunnerblog. It’s unclear why Arsenal would turn down such an amount of money for a player who has spent more time on the treatement table than on the pitch during his Arsenal career, but continued doubts over the futures of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri, as well as want-away Brazilian Denilson, may have played a part in the decision.Diaby joined Arsenal in January 2006, around the same time as Theo Walcott and Emmanuel Adebayor, but suffered a career threatening injury at the clogging feet of ex-Sunderland player, and now milkman, Dan Smith. Since then he has suffered a litany of injuries and has never been able to put together a sustained period of fitness and/or form.He made only 17 starts for the club during another injury hit campaign last season, scoring just 2 goals. It remains to be seen if an improved offer will be made but for now a player who seems to be a firm favourite of the manager is staying at the Grove.

PSG: € 15 million and a salary to attract or Clichy?28.06.2011 - 10 h 15 - 114Like many players, Gaël Clichy is one of the tracks being considered by the PSG. If Liverpool and AS Roma seem best placed to try to wrest the International tricolor at Arsenal, the club of the capital behind the scenes preparing a very attractive offer. For several weeks, there is not a day without seeing a new player associated with the PSG . A situation some might say boring, exciting, say others. But with the takeover official Qatar this weekend and the arrival of Leonardo probably Friday, many files will grow in the coming days.If a right midfielder, a central defender and a midfielder are expected, other positions could also be messed up. This is the case of the left lateral position. Siaka Tiene and Sylvain Armand would be considered a little soft and a reinforcement of weight would be considered. Priority and the track would be called Gael Clichy . If Arsene Wenger said yesterday in the columns of Skysports want to keep the player, it has not extended its lease (which ends in June 2012) and is therefore in a strong position. Not necessarily on the departure, the former Cannes remains attentive to the clubs available to them. If AS Roma and Liverpool have shown pressing a practical approach to the PSG may make him think. Especially since according to our information, the salary proposed by Paris would be huge (about € 3 million net per year). And on the other hand, Arsenal would not be outdone as the London club would recover in the case of almost € 15 million. Anyway, it will in any case wait for weeks to learn more about the real intentions of the new leadership in Paris in the transfer. But when PSG was able to recruit Gael Clichy, no doubt that this would mark the first stunt minds. To be continued.

Arsenal agree to negotiate the sale of BarcaThe signing of Cesc, aboutFàbregas's effort to fulfill his dream is about to be rewarded. Barca will not let you alone and will increase its initial proposal Cesc Fabregas is close to becoming the first signing of the boat for the new season. Arsenal have assumed that the next bid must agree to submit the Catalans club in the offices of Emirates at the attitude of the player determined. Cesc has chosen Barcelona and will not back down. The transfer is the only solution for all parties.British leaders are beginning to resign themselves to selling and even accept it publicly. An authorized spokesman, quoted by BBC Sport, said the club had sent "a written offer to our executive director (Ivan Gazidis) that we rejected." Therefore, the Arsenal had rejected the offer of 30 million euros by the sports vice president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, but the key to the operation came in the statement. Asked about the expectations of receiving a superior proposal this week from the Camp Nou, the same source said "probably yes, and if sufficient, we assume that we sell."This increase would be about five million euros. In England, claimed late in the night that the deal would close by 35 million, plus another four variables. So, Arsenal could announce the sale of 39 million, the best and that all targets are met. Sandro Rosell also meet his word to lower the 40 million euros, which priced the player last season and get one of the best players in the world for a very reasonable price.Discrepancies between the two sides are far from abysmal. The circumstances push a deal soon. Economic differences in transfer of this dimension are less substantial and the player has taken a position that will ultimately lead to the club.Cesc and Arsenal has been reported that next Monday, July 4, has no plans to join the training under the command of Arsène Wenger. The Frenchman promised he would sign for the club and Fabregas hopes that is true to his word. The player is hoping that this week will solve the fringes and not have to come to an unpleasant situation would be like not to report to training. His agent, Darren Dein, prefer to avoid this situation. The English manager has many interests related to the club who presided over his father and does not want Cesc breaks the deck dramatically. However, the Arenys is determined to take all measures within its power to force his departure to Camp Nou.For now, the player is resting in Catalonia and is still waiting for Barca and Arsenal to reach an agreement. His next public appearance will be Wednesday in connection with the visit to its campus in Tordera. If negotiation is not progressing in the coming hours, Cesc could take the floor and tighten your speech. His strategy is to not make more noise and act with discretion, but whether to act, it will. Arrivals at this point no half-measures and Fabregas fit is assumed that it will be impossible to get along with all parties. His dream is at stake and will be involved to the fullest. The agenda of the player is highly influenced by the way they evolve contacts between all parties. Next week should be in Switzerland to mark the new edition of the Swiss campus on land, but can only be with the children if the signing is a reality. Otherwise, next week will take its pulse or discipline must return to the `GUNN. The worst case scenario is not covered yet and Cesc hopes that, once and for all, the Arsenal transfer you back with eight years of commitment to a tee.
However same journo then writes...
The capital club contacted the bidding for the player Arsenal BarcaReal tries to torpedo the signing of Cesc offering 50 'kilos'Real Madrid moved entity wires to complicate the arrival of Cesc Fabregas to Barca The underground game practiced by Real Madrid in recent months has been continued during the summer. The white set is intrometido the main operation requested by Pep Guardiola to reinforce the squad ahead of next season as the signing of Cesc Fabregas. The emergence of the set target could appear legitimate within the parameters of the market, though meaningless to know the intentions of the player.Real knows firsthand the Arenys not want to wear white. So it sent its representative, Darren Dein, when all white probed possible incorporation when the English manager covenanted Adebayor's arrival at Santiago Bernabeu. The Togolese and Catalan share representative and was then asked by the Real midfielder's situation. Dein told Cesc white interest and received the same answer as always: just move from Arsenal to play for Barça.Despite knowing firsthand that Fabregas is not to wear white, Real Madrid will not sit still during the opening of the summer market. His latest move has been transmitted to Arsenal he was willing to pay 50 million euros to sign the player. A very superior to that offered by the club and therefore significantly more expensive for the transfer.White's attempt can only be interpreted in code to prevent the Blaugrana strengthened with a player who would even more powerful. An auction would strengthen the Arsenal for Barca ask for much more that could trigger the signing to leave the water. Even in England claimed that Manchester City might be willing to outbid Real Madrid. The whole 'gunner' is delighted to receive further offers for the nuts to Barca, but has encountered an insurmountable obstacle. Cesc has not come into this game. His stance is noble and fixed. He just wants to return to the club that trained him as a player and will not accept a sale to a destination that does not feel comfortable. His heart be prevented from playing FC Barcelona at the Bernabeu, while in England has become so identified with Arsenal could not defend another shirt. Other options such as Inter are also discarded. Barca is his one great dream.
