Laurent Blanc's agent has disputed French TV channel BeIN Sport's announcement that the former France boss is set to be appointed coach of Paris Saint-Germain.

The Paris-based channel, which shares its president - Nasser Al-Khelaifi, with the Ligue 1 champions - stated on Friday that the former Manchester United centre-back had agreed a two-year deal at the Parc des Princes.

However, Blanc's representative, Jean-Pierre Bernes, told RMC later that day no such agreement had been settled upon and that negotiations remain ongoing.

BeIN Sport claim that official confirmation of the appointment is expected early next week, which will see Carlo Ancelotti freed from the final year of his PSG deal.

The Italian, who asked to leave the French capital more than a month ago having secured the title, is widely expected to be named Jose Mourinho's successor at Real Madrid.

If appointed by PSG, Blanc will most likely be accompanied by Jean-Louis Gasset, who was the former France international's assistant during their two-year stint with the national team.

Gasset, who also worked under Blanc at Bordeaux between 2007 and 2010, was assistant coach to Luis Fernandez at PSG between 2000 and 2003.

Hamburg have announced they are interested in signing Arsenal defender Johan Djourou following his successful loan spell at Hannover.

Djourou made just two Capital One Cup appearances for the Gunners last season but appeared 14 times in the Bundesliga after moving to Hannover on loan in January.

Mirko Slomka's men were reportedly hoping to retain the Switzerland international after finishing ninth in the table, but Hamburg sporting director Oliver Kreuzer has revealed his club are keen too.
