The Summer Transfer Thread

Chelsea have had a 22m bid for Luka Modric rejected.Sky Sports understands...
I'd hope that was all upfront or something 'cos if not it's a complete and utter pisstake. Swear he was £16.5 originally and he's 3 years into his original contract by now so it'll all be pretty much paid off.

No, the only people who give a sh*t bout it are the fans, and we're so far removed from any goings on at the club we support that at times i honestly believe we're forgotten about completly when decisions are made, foreign players with no effinity to the club, mercinary managers chairman looking to increase and maximise profits no matter whatand "Owners" who for some reason believe they have the right to act like they own the club (yes sarcasm)have made us all a 5th placed priority/stakeholder in club affairs, GET used to it, its only gonna get worse from here on,

This is why Forza Fc UnitedForza AFC Wimbledon, and all the other fan owned clubs. (and the number is growing)just two of the clubs who have taken on the fan ownership model. run in different ways but as a basis the two clubs are the same, they put the fan first. we have to make this game belong to us again, as it isn't gonna be given back to us anytime soon.

Adopting the Fan ownership model is definitely the right way to go about things imo but this evidently does not prevent sh*t like the recent trend in overinflated transfers and high wage demands from players. Some Spanish teams are owned by the fans, Barca + Real included and yet they are the forefront of this problemIts ruining football by monopolising the player market for these big teams. consequently slowly killing off smaller teamsAlso Real have a problem with high turnovers of managers which from a fan perspective makes no sense really The sale of Figo was allowed to happen between the 2 fan owned clubs so boy....whats that saying about their fans I guess lolIMO UEFA/FIFA should start regulating the transfer market perhaps take ownership of players contracts and get rid off greedy agents could be one way. something similar to what the NFL does I dunnoIm all for bringing football back to the fans but when big money is involved even the best of fans seem to succumb to greed

tbh the versions of fan ownership vary from clubs were the fans have a lot of say i.e on shirt design and ticket pricing policy to merely just electing a chairman or president in my opinion Real and Barca are fan owned for the token credibility alone, Barca opting to have sponsership is a big step, and also the Madrid managerial circus every other year is also a bad advertisement for the model., its a shame but as clubs get bigger and bigger their morales get comprimised and twisted to the point where there forgotten, I.E in 10 years it'll be the norm for Barca to be whoring out the front of their shirts for the highest bidder every few seasons, when a couple years ago it was unthinkable, cut a long story short, its difficult to have morales in a world/footballing world where Morales are hard to find or identify, which is why a big question on FC United forums is what happens if/when we reach league football, and kick off times are changed to the detriment of the fans, reckon there will be mass boycotting to the point where the club is penalised to the point where we're unable to even compete. Imagine if Barca's obviously passionette fans pushed for something like this in the highley competive football and financial markets Barca are dealing with, they'd be f*cked so Morales go out the window till your clubs winning f*ck all, (see Old Trafford when the Green and Gold parade came out the woodwork only after we lost to Leeds, prior to that everything was honky dory)for instance what FA23 just said about Adebayor, if he joins Spurs scores 25 goals and gets them into the CL 3 years in a row, and performs excellently he'll go down as a legend, if he comes over and looks like sh*t .................................

Adebayor has no loyalty to Arsenal and Arsenal fans have none for him, we boo him ffs.Spurs and their fans accepted Gallas, let them accept Adebayor too. Ironic when I said they would be getting Adebayor they all negged me... TBH after years of Adebayor mocking them and them mocking him, they are a great fit together. Kinda like George Graham and them... Or Rohan Ricketts. Or Jamie O'Hara. Or David Bentley...Meanwhile we took Sol Campbell from them :DWE ARE MORE THAN THEM!
