Sopranos. Probably the best show ever. I might be a little biased as I've always been a fan of the whole La Cosa Nostra theme, where as anyone who prefers the whole Black Street Gangs business will probably say The Wire. Seen the first season of The Wire and thought that was brilliant but didn't continue after it. Heard season 2 was crap.

Na Wire doesnt compare to Sopranos in any way. Wire had some good characters but sopranos excluding tony had a++ rating acting.

I've watched both shows to the end.

 

Honestly, Sopranos edges it. Not by any large amount but the character focus in Sopranos was just too much, The Wire was a great series of stories but the Sopranos is a Masterpiece.
