All hail King Joseph

Id be delighted if he came, brilliant player, always rated him, deffo matured his game during the last 2 years..hes not the same rampaging superman he was at City trying 2do everything..

I said Joseph at £1-4m would be great business but on a free... Wenger at least must talk to the boy

Outta the players who can play in the middle...Eastmond, Coquelin, Frimmy & Lansbury all untried

Song is the only senior dm

Cesc, Nasri, Rosicky, Diaby, Wilshere & Ramsey all lightweight and attack minded

Barton can play box to box, he can hold or can play on the right, hes experienced n i feel he will compliment the players we have..he likes to keep it simple and will win the ball, use it well and give it to the attack minded players

Barton would improve Arsenal's squad, no question, and he'd make at least 25 appearances (barring injury & suspension), so for free its hard to argue why not...

However this is Joey Barton... His history, the incident he's in right now, just tells the whole story as to why it would be suicidal for the Arsenal squad morale and tbh the whole football club's morale, cos he's bound to get into something with someone at the club and it come out. Plus imagine him & Wilshere together, smh.

Even if Barton didn't cause no trouble within the team and he really took to Wenger and obeyed him totally and was honoured to be at Arsenal, he'd regularly do something to an opposition player that would make the "footballing purist" Wenger look like even more a hypocrite to the footballing society as he returns to the "I didn't see it" response.

Plus Barton is 29 next month and will probably want at least a 4 year deal on his current wage. He ain't getting that kinda deal at Arsenal.

Anyway from his last tweet its sounding like he might just sit out the year at Newcastle to piss Ashley off even more

Guest M12 Part 2

Joey Barton would destroy arsenal. You think he'd be cool surrounded by all them French affs. Not a chance. He'd have beef with song, diaby, eboue. He needs to be in a pub guy mentality side where racism and general working class white ignorance is accepted/normal. Who would be his boys in your squad. He doesn't fit in at all.

JOEY BARTON GUNS FOR ARSENAL MOVE

JOEY BARTON was forced to train on his own at Newcastle yesterday but has told team-mates he has his heart set on a move to Arsenal and a pay rise.

Joey Barton, who was told on Monday he can leave on a free transfer after criticising Newcastle owner Mike Ashley, wants to join Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal side as he believes he is Champions League-class and has told his representatives to try to secure a pay increase to £70,000 a week.

Outcast midfielder Barton was yesterday fined two weeks’ wages, about £120,000, which prompted him to send more Twitter messages, including one saying he would appeal.

He could be joined at the exit door by

Barton used his Twitter account to continue his war of words with Ashley.

“Made to train alone today. How predictable,” he said.

Then, quoting author George Orwell, Barton added: “In times of universal deceit, telling the truth will be a revolutionary act.”
