Nola D
The worst is when youre at an event and people are writing statuses. ONG this house party is live when you can see them sat in a corner with their head down buried in their phone. The main one that pisses me off is when people will tag you/mention you in statuses when youre out. f*ck*ng hate these types. If i wanted everyone to know where i was or who i was with 24/7 id tell them myself. dont need you to do it for me. cunts dont understand people that do this, if you were having such a blast you wouldnt have time to be updating statuses. Yoshie
Can not stand this whole idea of letting everyone know what you're doing. Social media <___ Old housemate at uni checks in EVERYWHERE on twitter, to one point he hadn't checked in all day, thought he'd died. Turns out he was too ill to get outta bed or something.

JGGB
I'm a little bit whatsapp obsessed recently. If I'm in a group will get phone out occasionally but if I'm out with one other person though it's a straight air the phone thing. Yeah parties are the worst, socialise ffs, f*ck your mobile

The Infamous
the tagging thing is jarring cos some times i openly snake some people who would roll but i dont want them too been caught up a few times 'oh ur here thought u went home to sleep' '_____ just wanted to pass thru briefly' *awkwardness* so more time i dont go with my friends on fb or twitter who are active in this sh*t

Skola
socialise ffs, f*ck your mobile trust me. its like we are so wrapped up in whats going on online that we are oblivious to whats going on around us and im talking on a day to day basis. read somewhere the advice to just keep your phone in your pocket and look about and take in your surroundings. if im waiting for someone im much more likely to draw for my phone check di phazebuk - sometimes i stop myself and think you know what, let me just look around at sh*t...just be...where i am, instead of on my phone. Kurtis
im happiest when im not around a bunch of people or forcing social situations always get pulled up on it but some of us are just built like that ill socialise on the net and whatnot, but i dont even like talking on the phone or texting one on one, making posts seems different for some reason
Supernova
Alot of people do it just because they are awkward, Don't know what/have anything to say. So in social situations pull out the phone. I do this sometimes, If I go to say like a little social gathering, where I am only close to a couple members of the people in attendance, I am usually on my phoen first 20-30 mins until I warm up and start getting chatty/un sober. Fresh
There's also mobile etiquette to consider, especially with this whatsapp last seen timestamp. Some convo's aren't that easy to wrap up instantly, and when certain names pop up I can't ignore them. I don't want to have my phone on loud so that my entire audience knows whenever I'm receiving messages, so I keep it on silent, on dim, face up on my table or I pull it out of my pocket periodically and have staggered conversations. The thing is, some people don't have any pressing conversation to entertain they are refreshing the activity feed on instagram and finding reasons to be on their phone. As for girls, I stop mid-sentence when the pull their phone out and continue when they put it away and they usually know the coo from there on
dub
With friends / associates - phone on table - if it vibrates/rings check what it is, if its important excuse yourself and deal with it, if its not put it back down. With females - phone in pocket - deal with same as above. With professionals - phone in pocket - ignore unless rung twice in 2 minutes, then excuse yourself. Some people do: everyone put their phone in the middle of the table so you're not playing about with it instead of socializing.
