Just bought £250 worth, which would have got me 83 litecoins 2 weeks ago  Only took me ten minutes to do as well.

Make sure you transfer it to your wallet.

What wallet?

Offline wallet?

yeah an offline wallet. I got it from here https://litecoin.org/

I have encrypted it and backed it up in several location... usb stick, both internal hdd, sat nav and I might save it on the cloud somewhere.

revs, I meant I've taken them from my offline wallet and loaded them onto the exchange.

it's a madness though. Everything is so slow.

I'm having to run some mad script to send bitcoins to people, if I didn't know the command line at all - I wouldn't be using coins as much as I have been tbh.

^ one good reason to buy litecoins.

Like local said go to localbitcoins.com - create an account, then put in the amount you want to buy and it will list sellers. Select one, I used dutchbitcoinbroker as he was the cheapest and had positve feedback. Sent him a bank transfer and he then transfer the bitcoins into your wallet.

Then go to btc-e.com and create an account, click on finances, then where it says btc click deposit. It will give you a long code, use this code to send from your wallet on localbitcoins.

Will take a while for them to be transfered, took mine 2 hours. Then use the bitcoins to buy ltc.

read some stuff the other day about people being run up on for bitcoins

media coverage will be nuts when the inevitable happens and someone is killed for their stash
