We failed the academy guys who are too good for the U23s and not good enough for the first team. When they needed their loans secured early on they were held back incase they were needed to be bench-bodies. Baker could have been playing in the prem. Feel for him. Now guys like Tomori and co are being held back just in case no signings are made.

No wonder Conte didn't extend.
