My initial reaction was the same.
But to be fair after thinking about it I understand the logic.
His 13 assists in the league puts him at 3rd place in the epl and joint 4th in Europe alongside Luis Suarez and in a top 10 filled with players that will be in the CL season and are out of Swansea's budget for potential replacements for Sigs even if they had an extra £55m in their pockets.
Those assists plus the 9 league goals he scored is a big reason why Swansea didn't get relegated and we all know how much money is at stake being in the EPL.
Swansea would most likely have to buy 2 mid/lower tier players to replace Sigs' end product that would have the same EPL tax they're trying to put on Leicester. From when a guy in the championship like Tom Cairney is getting a £20m bid from Newcastle rejected by Fulham Swansea would probably have to spend around £55m on those 2 potential replacements for Sigs.
